Right on time with the apparent goal of messing up the November 5 election, the threat of another ‘plandemic’ is storming across the horizon.
Here’s the latest from Dr. McCullough on ‘Bird Flu’ on Courageous Discourse going against the current of WHO/CDC fearmongering and doom porn, especially its ‘lethality’ under very specific, adverse conditions found in Southeast Asia** among the poor with little or no early care.
And the ‘52% lethality’ of the 1000 or so Southeast Asian cases was actually do to untreated secondary bacterial pneumonia, as Dr. McCullough described seeing the published reports and X-rays.
Bird Flu in America is hardly a thing, especially if you don’t sleep with your chickens or mallard ducks. Common cold and flu prevention, therapeutics and early treatment & interventions knock the Bird Flu out. The few human cases in America (Texas) are very mild, and mostly expressed as Pink Eye.
So far, no pulmonary cases, no hospitalizations.
Dr. McCullough’s podcast interview with Dr. Clayton Baker is worth it, too. “It’s unmistakable!…A lethal virus to birds is noticeable!”

Natural immunity has handled the problem of avian influenza or bird flu over a century of observation. Human agency has worsened the global burden of this viral zoonosis with every public health intervention.
About 20 years ago China and other countries in Southeast Asia started vaccinating poultry. Because the shots are not sterilizing, they allowed more birds to carry the virus, spread it, and the birds failed to develop natural mucosal immunity.
In the summer of 2023, the French attempted to vaccinate meat ducks and it backfired with greater spread of the virus and a response from the US and Japan by banning French duck meat.
The current strain of H5N1 or highly pathogenic avian influenza circulating in the United States is most likely a result of serial passage or gain-of-function research conducted in the US Poultry Research Center in Athens, Georgia.
The experiments were successful in expanding the host range into mallard ducks and migratory waterfowl allowing spread from farm to farm. However, this adaptation resulted in the virus no longer being characterized as “highly pathogenic” with no large numbers of lethal cases in birds and very mild and rare cases in farm workers.
Legacy reports carried forward to May 30, 2024, indicate the case fatality rate (CFR) for human infection with avian influenza A(H5N1) virus was 52%, with 463 deaths out of 889 reported cases largely from Southeast Asia since January 2003.
**Malnutrition, very poor working conditions, families sleeping with sick chickens, lack of early therapeutics and care for secondary bacterial pneumonia appear to be the explanation for deaths from this treatable illness.
McCullough Foundation was unable to find any human deaths in the US over decades of avain influenza.

Sriwilaijaroen et al conducted a high-quality preclinical study of influenza virus strains on chicken egg cells and demonstrated that dilute povidone iodine was effective at neutralizing the two pathogenic parts of the influenza virus—hemagglutinin (binding) and sialidase (catalytic hydrolysis).
Of note, these effects were complimentary to the modest effect of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) in these experiments.

The on-going war between Hezbollah and Israel is heating up and is unlikely to subside in the coming weeks. Saturday and Sunday saw Israel bombing southern Lebanon and Hezbollah quickly retaliating with a barrage of rockets and drones. Israel expended a large quantity of Iron Dome missiles in trying to fend off the Hezbollah attack. Those missiles are not easily replaced and it is not clear if Israel has the productive capacity to replace them in the near term.
Hezbollah claims that it did not use any of its more advanced weaponry, which includes strategic and precision ballistic missiles. Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah described the Hezbollah attack as follows:

A series of bizarre developments that have unfolded in Great Britain over the last few weeks suggest that its financial system came to the verge of collapse, probably as a consequence of Ukraine’s debt default.

The riots that weren’t (quite)
The stabbings of three young girls (6, 7, and 9 years of age) that happened in Southport, UK on 29 July apparently unleashed widespread rioting and clashes in Britain, notably between the immigrant Muslim community and what PM Keir Starmer called, right-wing thugs.
The authorities’ reaction has been nothing short of Orwellian including a radical and ongoing crackdown on free speech.
But it would appear that the riots and clashes haven’t been quite as widespread or as violent as the media portrayed them to be.
In a recent podcast, Alexander Mercouris pointed out that not only did everything seem calm in London, but that a number of his friends and acquaintances around the UK all told him the same, even for the cities where rioting had been reported.
Could it be that the government overreacted and exaggerated the threat in order to justify stepping up its authoritarian control which is now gripping Britain?
Rather than appealing for calm, the government’s messaging clearly aimed at intimidating the population. The UK’s Home Office warned that “Actions have consequences,” and boasted that over 1,000 arrests have been made thus far.
British courts already sentenced many people to stiff prison terms for wrongthink expressed on social media and they made sure that these sentences got wide publicity.
Wrongthink shall not be tolerated.
For a supposedly free society, recent statements by policy makers and public officials in the UK started to sound as though they came from the plot of the 2005 dystopian sci-fi film, “V for Vendetta.”
The media personalities, even after a lifetime of indoctrination with free speech as the core Western value, suddenly seemed to have no qualms about advocating curbs on freedom of expression.

My interview of Dimitri Simes is now available at my Counter Currents channel. It is quite a story. Dimitry fled the Soviet Union in 1973, shortly after being released from prison, and arrived in the United States seeking freedom.
Now, 50 years later, Dimitry — who is a US citizen — was compelled, once again, to flee authoritarian rule. Only this type, the tyrant is the United States and the sanctuary is Russia.
Upon arriving in the United States without any savings, Dimitry set to work trying to establish a new life in America and he quickly found a niche as a genuine Soviet expert.
He was mentored by such luminaries as Paul Nitze and Fred Ikle. (I realize those names are meaningless to you youngsters out there, but in the 1980s, they were major players in the realm of arms control and the US Department of Defense.)
Thanks to serendipity (or the hand of God), Dimitry became friends with former President Nixon and was named President of the Nixon Center, a Washington, D.C. think tank.
Dimitry held that job for 30 years. That is where I first met him. I was invited to participate in a small seminar in December 2002, that included former CIA Director James Schlesinger, Fox News pundit Charles Krauthammer, Ambassador Joe Wilson and W. Patrick Lang, former head of DIA’s Middle East Division.
There were only twelve of us, plus Dimitry, sitting around a conference table trying to ascertain what the George W. Bush Administration planned to do in Iraq.
Two weeks ago, the FBI raided and ransacked Dimitry’s home in Virginia. He was not there, thankfully. Scott Ritter got off light compared to what the FBI did to Dimitry’s home.
They absconded with paintings and furniture, and they physically damaged portions of the house. The FBI did something that the KGB never did to Dimitry. I hope you take the time to watch our conversation.
Meanwhile, the malevolent clown show that is Ukraine continues to shock and entertain. The Ukrainians are claiming that they — using a US-supplied Patriot missile battery — shot down their own F-16 and killed their own pilot.
I didn’t see that coming. Maybe Zelensky and his cronies are so hard up for cash that they wanted to cash-in on Russia’s promised reward for the first one to down an F-16. In Ukraine, anything is possible.

Producer of Lab-grown Chicken Sues Florida Over Ban on Cultivated Meat
California-based Upside Foods alleges the ban violates the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy and Commerce clauses and two federal laws regulating the inspection and distribution of meat and poultry products.

California’s cultivated-chicken startup Upside Foods is suing Florida over the state’s ban on cultivated, or lab-grown, meat, alleging the ban is unconstitutional.
The lawsuit, filed Aug. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, alleges the ban violates the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause — because federal law regulating meat and poultry has priority over state law — and the Constitution’s Commerce Clause, by insulating Florida agricultural producers from out-of-state competition.
Upside Foods also alleges the ban violates two federal laws regulating the inspection and distribution of meat and poultry products.
The company is seeking a preliminary injunction to allow it to sell its lab-grown meat in Florida while the lawsuit proceeds through the courts.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in May signed the ban into law, making the manufacture, distribution and sale of cultivated meat illegal in the state beginning in July.
DeSantis said the law was a way of, “fighting back against the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs to achieve their authoritarian goals.” He promised to continue investing in local farmers and ranchers.
“If we want to invest in our future, we have to provide America with proven, safe, nutritious foods,” Florida State Senator Jay Collins, who co-sponsored the original bill, told The Defender in a statement. “Simply put, garbage in equals garbage out. If we want a healthier America, we have to have faith in what we eat.”
“Lab-grown meat is a science experiment that the American people simply cannot afford to have run on them,” Collins added.

Research from the University of California, Davis, also showed lab-grown meat isn’t the environmental panacea its boosters claim. Instead, researchers found that cultured meat’s environmental impact is likely “orders of magnitude” higher than real meat, based on current production methods.
That finding is true even when accounting for production innovations that may happen in the near future, researchers said.
The industry borrowed techniques that Big Pharma uses to replicate cells to make vaccines to turn animal cells into large quantities of “cultivated meat.”
[Big Pharma uses cancer cell lines, or chemically alter tissues that neutralizes cell mortality, effectively turning them into cancer cell lines, to cultivate lab-grown, artificially sustained ‘immortal tissue’ for vaccine and chemotherapy research. Immortalized tissue is cancer tissue.
Food animals with obvious cancer tumors are culled from the herd, flock, or if tumors are found during meat processing, yet ‘Upside Foods’ would have us eat what the butcher sensibly discards. -Kj]
Cell-cultivated meat products are grown in large steel tanks called cultivators, or bioreactors, using cells from live animals or a cell bank, where “immortalized” cells are produced from cultured stem cells.
The cells are “fed” a mixture of sugars, amino and fatty acids, salts, and vitamins to make them proliferate quickly. Once they’ve grown into a mass or a sheet — depending on the manufacturer — they are formed into meat-looking shapes like cutlets or nuggets.
The process is energy intensive. An investigation by The New York Times revealed several incidents that occurred during the development of some of Upside’s products that raised safety concerns.
The company in 2018 found its chicken cell line contaminated with mouse cells. In 2019, they found it contaminated with rat cells.
Yet, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Upside’s meat was “safe for human consumption” in 2022, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved the sale of products by Upside Foods and Good Meat — the first two companies to go through the regulatory approval process — in June 2023.

How did American voters get so dumb? Thank a public school.
It’s a modern fetish that we’re brilliant but our ancestors were idiots. After all, they didn’t have iPhones, internets, or Kim Kardashian.

This is also academic consensus, for what it’s worth. It’s called the Flynn Effect—the idea is people do better on puzzles, so we must be smarter. Of course, one wonders if puzzles translate into, say, understanding monetary policy or how welfare destroys families.
Thankfully, we have a real-world test: actual political campaigns. Back when I was a professor, I ran every inaugural address through a Flesch-Kincaid text analysis to measure the grade level. The logic being top speechwriters know how to talk at voters’ level.
Doing that, it turns out we are getting dumb breathtakingly fast. In 1900, inaugurals were written at between 13th and 14th grade—modern college level. Today, they’re eighth grade for Barack Obama, ninth grade for Donald Trump, and … seventh grade for Joe Biden.
It gets worse the further back we go: Andrew Jackson’s 1828 inaugural was written at 22nd grade—meaning, strictly speaking, two Ph.D.s was the median voter in 1828.
Keep in mind Jackson was a populist man-of-the-people.
George Washington’s inaugural was closer to 26th grade.
Also keep in mind almost nobody in 1828—or 1789—had a formal education.
Jackson kicks off with, “Undertaking the arduous duties that I have been appointed.” Washington starts with, “Among the vicissitudes incident to life.” For Biden it’s, “This is America’s day.”
So how did we get so dumb?
Easy: public schools.

I’ve covered this ground before, which you agreed with at the time, debunking the ‘Putin is a Jew’ lie.

The TL;DR version:
Putin’s peasant parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents were born and baptized and married as Orthodox Christians, and came from villages adjacent to the tiny town of Turginovo, Tver Oblast, which today still only has a population of under 3,000 people.
Putin was secretly baptized right after birth in a parish church in what was then Leningrad, now St. Petersburg.
Putin’s parents are buried in an Orthodox cemetery in St. Petersburg. His grandparents are buried in the church cemetery in Turginovo, as are his great-grandparents, who may have been the first generation of liberated peasants after Tsar Alexander II emancipated the serfs, and his other peasant serf ancestors dating back to the 16th or 17th centuries.
No Jews ever lived in Tver Oblast until about the turn of the 20th century, as Tver was an oblast outside of the Pale of the Jewish Settlement after the partition of the Kingdom of Poland and Duchy of Lithuania, and the establishment of West Russia.
Jews were generally not permitted to live in Holy Russia (heartland Muscovy Russia), although by mid-19th century, some wealthy merchant Jews were permitted to reside in Moscow or St. Petersburg and other urban areas. For quite a while, Jews from the Pale were not even allowed to approach within 50 miles of the Pale boundary because of rampant smuggling.
Around 1909, Jews finally moved to the city of Tver, the oblast’s capital, and built a small synagogue, which is still used by a small Jewish community today.
It is certain that no Jews ever lived in the very small town of Turginovo, and there are no historical Jewish cemeteries anywhere near the vicinity of Turginovo.
There is no doubt that Putin has absolutely no Jewish ancestry whatsoever.

Vladimir Vladimirovich (V.V.) Putin is the third son in the family – two elder brothers were born in the mid-1930s died early in childhood, one during the Seige of Leningrad.
The Putins were a working family who lived in a shared apartment in Leningrad. V.V. was born in 1952; his mother was 41 at the time of his birth.
Putin’s mother’s maiden name is Shelomova. Shelomova is an old Russian surname. It is definitely not from Hebrew “shalom.”
Some Internet (nit)wits decided Shelomova was a Jewish name just because it sounds similar to Shlomo.
The surname is attested in several archival registries dating back to the 14th, 15, 16th centuries besides Putin’s. The Russian root word shelom (m) or sheloma (m) means “helmet.” Shelemova is the feminine form of the surname.
The middle name is derived from the father’s first name, as is common in Orthodox naming traditions. My Greek father’s father was Antone, so my dad was name Constantine Antone, for example.
Russian names are the same way, and they have suffixes in masculine and feminine genders added to the patronym.
Shortly after winning the election to the presidency for his first term, Vladimir Putin became interested in his genealogy. Professional genealogists were able to trace his genealogy back 13 generations from various archived records. He comes from a family of peasant serfs who belonged to one of the Romanov family.
Since a peasant serf’s family was closely bound to their master and estates, Vladimir Putin’s ancestral family records are more traceable than most, since his family records are linked to, and preserved because of, a cadet branch of this famous royal family.
Until the late 19th century and the beginnings of industrialization in Russia and the emancipation of the serfs, the estate and manor village, town or city you were born in was usually the one you died in, and your marriage was arranged to someone from the village or town by your families.
The average free peasant in an agricultural society probably didn’t travel more than 25 miles from home in his lifetime. A peasant merchant or peddler might travel farther.
The great noble estates were self-contained units with their own villages and towns and churches which a peasant serf might not ever leave at all.
In 1861, Tsar Alexander II liberated the serfs.
Spiridon Putin is V.V.’s paternal grandfather who was born in Imperial Russia, as all of V.V.’s grandparents were, sometime after the emancipation.
V.V.’s paternal grandmother was Olga Putina, who married Spiridon.
His paternal grandparents were from different villages near the same rural town, Turginovo. Both were baptized in its Protecting Veil of the Mother of God Orthodox church, and both are buried in the church cemetery.
V.V.’s late father, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin (V.S.) was born in St Petersburg in 1911, his mother in Zarachye village near Tver. When World War I began, famine and starvation hit St. Petersburg, so his father’s entire family moved back to V.V.’s grandmother’s home in Pominovo in the Tver region.
Her house is still standing today, and members of the family still spend their vacations there.
It was in Pominovo that V.V.’s father met his mother. They were both 17 years old when they got married.
Putin’s family had been in the Turginovo area for several centuries, which is the village his grandparents were baptized in, and it was exclusively Orthodox Christian.
I have kind of a rule of thumb when it comes to Jewish communities. If they were never expelled from an area, or complained about their treatment in an area, it’s certain that didn’t live there to begin with.
Jews are obsessed with their own history and genealogies, and complain about everything which ever happened to them as “persecution” and “pogroms” in Christian societies, no matter how trivial.
Another thing that they give great priority to are Jewish cemeteries, because that anchors their place in history and other claims.
As Turginovo was in Moscovy Russia proper, Jews were forbidden to settle in Moscovy Russia by Empress Catherine or within 50 miles of its borders.
They were “confined” to the Pale of the Jewish Settlement inside the empire after the partition of Poland (“Polish Commonwealth).
The Pale of Settlement was the term given to a region of Imperial Russia in which permanent residency by Jews was allowed and beyond which Jewish permanent residency was generally prohibited.
In terms of territorial size, the Pale’ landmass was fully a third the size of the continental US, and largely corresponded to historical borders of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth; it included much of present-day Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Ukraine, and parts of western Russia.
Tver Oblast was never a part of the Pale of Jewish Settlement.
I have yet to find any Jewish cemeteries in the area around Turginovo, or mention of Jewish communities in or near Turginovo in any of their own voluminous histories and genealogies.
