I find the story about Kim Philby quite interesting. Both Bob Reguly and Igor Gouzenko, who Bob introduced me to, thought there was something wrong with Philby but could not prove it.

ID tattoos were only used at the Auschwitz labor complex. I believe tattoos were only used for a limited time and not throughout the duration of the Auschwitz labor complex operations, and maybe just specific camps, but I may be misremembering, and maybe someone knows for certain.
All camps used numbered cloth ID patches sewn on prison uniforms or street clothing, along with the colored concentration camp badges sewn on jackets or pants indicating their prisoner classification and reason(s) for incarceration.

Nor can I absolutely say what ‘Fr. Valerii’s actual motive for posting this slice of then publicly known news, if now obscure history, sans context.
But I can make an education guess that since he’s a West Ukrainian nationalist of some degree or another, given that he is a Uniate ‘Byzantine-Ukrainian Rite Catholic’ priest, aka Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest, sometimes describing himself as performing ‘Byzantine-Slavic Rite’ who served in the UGCC diaspora (Ireland, in fact), and may or may not be part of the Bandera ultra-Ukronatsi network embedded throughout the UGCC diaspora.
It also appears that he is a dissident in the anti Novo Ordo Catholic Church movement.
Fr. Valerii started his Xwitter account in March right after Russia declared the SMO in February 2022.
In any case, as a diaspora UGCC priest in Ireland (and self-pronounced ally of “Latin-Rite Catholics”, and who is apparently a Sedevancatist sympathizing with Trad Caths), although apparently retired in 2022 (from what I’ve gleaned from his Xwitter account), if the Banderites were operating in his parish behind the fronts of more innocuous church associations and parish organization, he would have not only known about it, but approved it (as is happening today in UGCC parishes in Canada, the US, and the UGCC colony-cities in southern Brazil).
Fr. Valerii’s propaganda intent appears to be to smear Russia as “Nazis”, guilt by historical association, etc. despite the fact that it is historical fact that the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) factions fought on the side of Germany against Russia, and today many of his precious Ukronatsi Banderites and Azovites have syncretic fetishistic sympathies for German National Socialism, having developed an Ukro-Aryan mysticism of their own.
I did not see “Nazis” in the video, that is, anyone of with NSDAP Party & SS insignia in the clip, nor anyone of the German top political class, only regular Wehrmacht general officers with their ordinary military uniforms & regalia who had long existing pre-war military-industrial relationship with the Soviet Red Army.

IN THE EARLY morning hours of Aug. 23, 1939, Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov and his German counterpart Joachim Ribbentrop affixed their signatures to the Treaty of Non-Aggression between Germany and the U.S.S.R.
In addition to including a pledge that neither would initiate hostilities against the other, a secret protocol within the pact marked Eastern Europe into ‘spheres of influence’ between the two states. The agreement also initiated the exchange of Soviet raw materials for German weapons and industrial goods.
The announcement that the Fascists and Communists would suddenly abandon their mutual antipathy and partner together shocked the world.
American journalist Walter Lippmann would write that, “In all history it would be hard to find another conspiracy so terrible in its consequences, or to match its perfidy.”
Seven days later, on Sept. 1, Germany invaded Poland from the west; the Soviets followed suit from the east on Sept. 17.
Great Britain and France reluctantly honoured their pledges to Poland and declared war on Germany, marking the beginning of the Second World War in Europe.
The Soviet-German Pact of 1939 is often regarded as a moment of opportunism, a temporary alignment of interests between Hitler and Stalin. That is only part of the story.
In fact, the 1939 agreement marked the culmination of nearly two decades of on-and-off cooperation between Berlin and Moscow. In its first phase, between 1922 and 1933, this cooperation would lay the essential groundwork for the rearmament of both Germany and the Soviet Union.
That first phase of cooperation began tentatively in the aftermath of the First World War. Mutual antagonism to the new state of Poland encouraged the German army to begin surreptitiously passing intelligence to the Soviets, while also connecting Red Army representatives with German industrial firms who might produce weapons or logistical equipment for them.
Two years later, the Treaty of Rapallo normalized relations between Germany and the U.S.S.R., laying the basis for an expansion of cooperation.
In its first phase, cooperation between the German military and the Soviet Union was primarily economic.
Seeking to avoid the limitations of the Versailles treaty on weapons development and production, the German military assisted domestic firms in relocating banned industrial production to facilities in the U.S.S.R. This process began with the opening of a chemical weapons complex near Samara and an aircraft production plant near Moscow in 1923.
Germany soon became the U.S.S.R’s largest trading partner. German businesses – more than 250 of which negotiated contracts with the Red Army – were particularly prominent in weapons production, including the manufacture of artillery, tanks, poison gas and aircraft on Soviet soil.
In exchange, the Germans gained a place to employ expert engineers and, in theory, develop munitions stockpiles in the event of a future war.
Given the early success of the economic partnership, the German military and Soviet state decided to expand cooperation in 1923. In that year, German pilots began arriving to train Soviet cadets at an airbase located near Lipetsk in south-central Russia. Two years later, the Red Army offered to lease the base to the Reichswehr in exchange for training assistance and access to German aircraft prototypes.
Lipetsk would be the first of four jointly operated military facilities on Soviet soil. A chemical weapons testing ground opened near Moscow the following year; a second, much larger, facility would replace it in 1927, located near Samara.
That same year, the two sides began work on a joint armoured warfare training and testing ground near Kazan. These facilities would operate until 1933, when Hitler deemed them no longer necessary.
These 11 years of corporate and military cooperation would play a significant role in preparing Germany for future war. Less than a thousand Germans participated in the training work in the U.S.S.R., but, for context, the entire German officer corps numbered only 4,000.
Those who did complete training in the Soviet Union would disproportionately reach senior ranks: more than 40 Luftwaffe or Wehrmacht generals visited, studied, trained, or taught in the U.S.S.R., including future marshals Heinz Guderian, Wilhelm Keitel, Erich von Manstein, Walter Model and Friedrich von Paulus.
Given how few German officers had practical experience with tanks or aircraft in 1933, alumni of the Soviet facilities would play an outsized role in training the next generation of officers during the expansion of the German army and air force between 1933 and 1939.
In technological terms, the work conducted in the U.S.S.R. was an essential prerequisite for future rearmament. All but one of Germany’s aircraft manufacturers sent their aircraft prototypes to the facility at Lipetsk; all of the German firms working on tank design likewise sent their prototypes to Kazan.
Entire teams of engineers would relocate to the Soviet Union. In the words of one German industrialist, “Through years of secret work, scientific and basic groundwork was laid in order to be ready again to work for the German Armed Forces at the appointed hour without loss of time or experience.” That moment would arrive in 1933, when Hitler came to power and accelerated rearmament.
The Red Army and Soviet air force also profited enormously from German assistance. More than 150 senior Soviet officers — including six future marshals of the Soviet Union — studied, trained, or attended maneuvers in Germany. German instructors embedded in Soviet schools taught thousands of Soviet officers; hundreds more studied alongside the Germans at the joint facilities.
German engineers helped build many of Stalin’s key military-industrial projects, while German industrial firms assisted the Soviets with aircraft and tank design.
It was not an unalloyed blessing, however. While such work played a significant role in building up Soviet military industry and modernizing the Red Army, the perception of Soviet dependence on Germany was likely one reason for the purge unleashed by Stalin on the Red Army in 1936.
In early 1939, both Soviet and German leaders revisited their previous partnership. Hitler told his diplomats in Moscow to convey his interest in a “renewal” of the earlier partnership, while Stalin’s envoys requested a resumption of military purchases from German industry. The end result six months later was the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and the subsequent invasion of Poland.
Twenty years of on-again, off-again partnership between Berlin and Moscow had laid the groundwork for a new world war – one they would begin as partners but end as enemies.

Which pretty much explains why the Wermacht generals and commandants would be attending Stalin and Molotov’s polticized military parade on May 1, 1941, International Workers Day.
As I recall, there was also a joint military parade in Warsaw, Poland, after the joint Soviet-German invasion and partition, and Germany handed control of Warsaw over to the USSR.
Germany did not formally declare war on the USSR until June 22, 1941, when Germany delivered a timed declaration of war to the Soviet ambassador in Berlin, some six or seven weeks after this particular parade.
The German declaration of war on the Soviet Union, officially Note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany to the Soviet government from 21 June 1941 is a diplomatic note presented by German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop to Soviet ambassador Vladimir Dekanozov in Berlin on 22 June 1941 at 4 a.m. local time (5 a.m. MSK), informing him about the German invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II and preceding casus belli.
Later in the morning of that day German ambassador to the Soviet Union Friedrich-Werner Graf von der Schulenburg presented the note to Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov in Moscow. On the same day The New York Times published an abridged English translation of the declaration.
The German declaration begins with presenting multiple casus belli. It asserted, among others, that the Communist International embarked on anti-German subversion, sabotage and espionage, contrary to the German–Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty which Germany had honored.
The German–Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty was a second supplementary protocol of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact of 23 August 1939. It was a secret clause as amended on 28 September 1939 by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union after their joint invasion and occupation of sovereign Poland.
The declaration further stated that the Soviet Union began to conspire with the United Kingdom against Germany and that there was an offensive buildup of Soviet troops from the Baltic to the Black Sea. As such, it was stated that Hitler has ordered the German army to resist this threat with all means at their disposal.
The May 1st parade, again held some six or seven weeks before Germany declared war on the USSR, was attended by top officials from both Russia and Germany. Notably, representatives from the Wehrmacht (the German armed forces) were present alongside Soviet leaders.
Stalin invited the German Wermacht top command to the May 1 International Workers’ Day parade, and it was clearly aimed to demonstrate the strength and power of the Soviet Union.
On the German side, it gave them an opportunity to gather military intelligence on Soviet military strength.
It became an important official holiday of the USSR, celebrated with elaborate popular parade in the centre of the major cities.
The biggest celebration was traditionally organized in Red Square, where the General Secretary of the CPSU and other party and government leaders stood atop Lenin’s Mausoleum and waved to the crowds.
The top Wehrmacht generals, however, did not stand in the grandstand in front of the important Communist Internationale ideological symbol of Lenin’s Mausoleum with Stalin, Molotov and the others, but stood below on the pavement of the Red Square parade grounds and received military honors from the People’s Commissar for Defence and Marshal of the Soviet Union Symeon Timoshenko in front of the Red Army.
Father Valerii published this video on May 9 this year, which is Russia’s Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, which is entirely different from the May 1 International Workers Day military parade back in 1939, which of course is NOT the Victory Day parade of 1945 . That’s a stupid question. Africans have been traveling to and living in Russia for decades, especially going to university since Soviet times.
They will stay warm just like Russians do by wearing winter clothing and boots and using winter heating. There are African volunteers fighting in the SMO, in the trenches alongside the Russians, and they don’t suffer any more than what the Russians experience.
Russia is facing a demographic problem of low birth rates and aging populations, just like the rest of the world, except for some areas in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, and therefore workforce problems. Since the 1990s, the Russian Federation has depended on millions of immigrant labor from the ex-Soviet states.
Diplomatic, trade, cultural, military, and economic development relationships between Russia and the African countries are developing quickly.
In recent years, some businesses in Russia have become critically dependent on migrant workers, such as residential construction companies, retail trade, restaurants, and housing and communal services. All these sectors are among the most labor-intensive in Russia.
Prior to the SMO in 2022, construction employed up to 5.1 million workers, retail trade around ten million workers, restoration and catering around 1.9 million, and housing and city improvement services around 500,000, which altogether comprises roughly a quarter of all existing jobs in the country.
Now, with Russia’s massive reconstruction boom in Donbass and Novorossia, as well as economic, military-industrial, and infrastructure development boom all over the rest of the Russian Federation, I can understand why Putin’s advisor and Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin made the comment that Russia was anticipating recruiting 6-8 million African immigrants as guest workers by 2030.

Miles Guo is most likely not a CCP spy, but he has a complicated and obscure history as a Chinese businessman.
He was Beijing’s 74th richest billionaire turned dissident and exiled from China, has been anti-CCP for a couple of decades he claims, and under indictment for 19 different crimes (not political activism) by the Chinese government for allegations that include bribery, money laundering, and rape—all of which he denies, attributing them to a propaganda campaign..
Exiled to New York’s penthouse billionaire class after denouncing the CCP, Guo was a member of Mar a Lago well before Trump announced his presidential bid, and even before he was introduced to Steve Bannon, Trump’s then chief strategist, Bannon had heard enough about Guo to pronounce him “the Donald Trump of Beijing.”
Years later, when federal agents went looking for Bannon in connection with an allegedly fraudulent scheme to raise money for a wall on the Mexican border, they found him aboard Guo’s yacht, in Long Island Sound.
Granted, Miles Guo is a cypher from the rarified air where the top echelons of the Chinese Communist Party and big business interests form symbiotic relationships. Clearly, onetallorder is one of those ideologues whose mind is made up, don’t bother him with facts.
Actually, Guo strikes me as simply being a high-profile target for the CCP due to his status as a rich fugitive. Although often labeled as an activist or a dissdent, he is less that than a familiar type in emigre circles: the man who loses a power struggle at home and the flees abroad, where he tries to present himself as offering insider insight into his home country, and that’s where he stands in Trumpworld linked to Bannon.
As for known anti-establishmentarian Bannon saying that he was a Leninist, that’s dubious, although he certainly has never been shy about stating his anti-establishment views, and even saying in 2016 that there was no functional conservative movement during the Trump Campaign and his populist movement.
The unsubstantiated claim that Bannon said he was a Leninist was in a 2016 Daily Beast smear piece by Ashkenazi Jew Ronald Radosh (anti-Trumper I believe) who claimed he recounted a conversation he reportedly had with Bannon at a party he attended in 2013.
Before writing the Daily Beast piece, Radosh claimed he emailed Bannon to see if the latter wanted to clarify or correct his position, but Bannon told him he had no recollection of either meeting Radosh or the conversation.
There are absolutely no other instances in which Bannon eve referred to himself as a Leninist, although he’s very vocal about his anti-establishment ideals.

I remember the guy quite well. I used to work with him after he became the prime minister: a usual fishy Briton. Back then he was gleefully foolish and looked like a young daredevil reveling in a position he had unexpectedly acquired. We welcome the government’s new RSHE draft guidance which represents a big step forward in getting gender identity ideology out of schools. The public consultation is open till 11 July 2024. The RSHE guidance is statutory and it will be included as a component of Ofsted inspections.
The main important changes to the 2019 guidance are that gender identity ideology must not be taught as fact and sex education must not be taught before the age of nine. This is in response to well-documented evidence of gender identity teaching and explicit age-inappropriate sex resources going into schools via a growing number of external providers.

The High Court in London ruled Monday that Julian Assange can appeal his extradition to the U.S. on the grounds that he is being denied his First Amendment rights.

The High Court in London on Monday granted Julian Assange the right to appeal the order to extradite him to the United States on the grounds that the U.S. did not satisfy the court that it would allow Assange a First Amendment defense in a U.S. court.
“We spent a lot of time listening to the United States putting lipstick on a pig, but the judges didn’t buy it,” Stella Assange told reporters outside the court building. “As a family we are relieved but how long can this go on? The United States should read the situation and drop the case now.”
Assange has been imprisoned in London’s notorious Belmarsh Prison for more than five years on remand pending the outcome of his extradition. He must now spend an untold number of more months in the maximum security prison awaiting the start of his appeal.
In that sense it was a bitter victory for Assange. He gets to stay in prison another year or more, Joe Biden doesn’t have to worry about a journalist showing up in chains in Alexandria, VA during a presidential campaign and of course Assange could lose his appeal and arrive in the U.S. at a more opportune time for Biden.
In another sense, it was a victory for the supremacy of European law when it comes to free speech.

Jeremy Carl’s arguments on race should be heeded.
It’s September 13, 1890. The Union Jack is hoisted above Fort Salisbury, a place that will become the seat of the Southern Rhodesian government (and then eventually Harare, the capital of modern Zimbabwe).
The men standing at attention beneath its colors are the Pioneer Column, a volunteer force organized by Cecil Rhodes. Here in the African hinterland, these white men spearhead what looks to be the birth of a civilization.
With their settlement came the beginnings of peace and order. Hannes Wessels, who grew up in Umtali on the Mozambican border, wrote that “the native rebellions were suppressed with a mixture of force and diplomacy, but with conquest, the white interlopers put an end to the endemic tribal genocide and quickly insisted upon changing the mindset that killing another human being was a right of might.”
The intervention of whites in the region prevented the Matabele tribe from crushing the Zezuru people. Had that occurred, a Zezuru boy named Robert Gabriel Mugabe likely would have never existed. But exist he did.
And in time, Mugabe became an African nationalist and a dictator who supported seizing land from whites and justified their persecution in explicitly racial terms. “His journey into the living world was made safe by the white man he would grow to revile,” wrote Wessels.
The example of Southern Rhodesia’s transformation into Zimbabwe is a reminder that the wheel of history turns on irony. The greatest irony in our time is that whites—the people descended from those settlers who carved civilization out of the North American wilds—have become public enemy number one in their own land.
No other group has been subjected to so much cultural humiliation and expropriation in modern memory, a long struggle session that whites often eagerly participate in to demonstrate their anti-racist bona fides.
Jeremy Carl is working to educate Americans on both the practical realities and consequences of this dispossession. The argument he presents in The Unprotected Class: How Anti-White Racism Is Tearing America Apart is necessary and cerebral. And if the early reception is any indicator, there is an appetite among Americans for what Carl serves up in those pages.
Indeed, most people understand on an intuitive level what Carl cogently puts forth. They know something is wrong, even if they can’t articulate it or are afraid to do so. The timing of the book, then, seems ideal as this discussion swiftly moves closer to the mainstream of political discourse.
It’s worth reiterating that nothing Carl is arguing is conspiratorial or even hard to prove. The facts and policies are there for all with eyes to see.

Your mention of Jeremy Carl’s book brought back memories of the scoundrel (“The Pound in Your Pocket”) Prime Minister Harold Wilson versus Rt. Honourable Ian Smith’s unilaterally declared independence. Also, the prolific writer, Englishman, Edgar Wallace whose novel “Sanders of the River” I had as a ten-year-old one Christmas.
I hope I’m not mistaken, this was the book in which the author used (liberally as I remember) the term “Palaver” when describing squabbling by the natives. A trait is as evident as ever on the African continent.

Funny you mention Hannes Wessels. I spent a week with Hannes Wessels in the Lunangwa valley in Zambia at a place where the Lukusuzi River enters the Luangwa River.
We were helping an old time white hunter named Bryan Findlay Cooper build a grass camp on the river bank. The thing I remember about the camp was the domestic chicken we brought along to eat. There were so many predators there that the chickens stayed right close to the people.
We had cots with steel frames and slept in the open. The weather was perfect. just before dark the chickens would hop up on the bedsteads and sit just over our heads all night long.
Then just before dawn they would start to cock-a-doodle-do inches away from us so we never needed an alarm clock to wake up. Later In Tanzania, on the Siminjaro Plains Hannes was hunting for Luke Samaras and got seriously whacked by a buffalo.
Of all the African hunters I met, Bryan Findlay Cooper, called “the old man” was the finest I ever met. I once helped him follow up a wounded lion which waited for us on an anthill and would have been on us in seconds because he was only about 10 meters away, had not Bryan seen, swung around and shot the cat.
I have about 100 pages of notes I took with Bryan that I want to put into a book. His father was the first white trader in northern Zambia and when Bryan and his father entered the villages the people ran away because they had never seen a white man before.
Bryan built the airport in Livingston near Victoria Falls when he was only 18 years old. He quelled a riot of 1,800 men by knocking out their leader. If ever there truly was a Great White Hunter it was Bryan Findlay Cooper. His son Stuart was the favorite professional hunter of Giscard D’estaing. He got Stuart an honorary French citizenship.

The Feminist Response to Harrison Butker’s Commencement Speech Proves He Is Right
Especially about the need for masculine values and leadership

“Stop giving men microphones,” wrote one of the signers of the petition to have NFL kicker Harrison Butker fired.
“As a woman living in post-Roe America,” declared another, “I’m exhausted from men telling women what to do with their lives.”
“How offensive to imply women are put here on this planet to help a man reach his full potential,” fumed a third. “We should be empowering women to achieve greatness however that looks for them. Having children or being a mother isn’t the currency we must pay to be treated as equal members of this society.”
And on and on they go in predictable, and predictably incoherent, statements. Apparently, it is offensive to say that women should help men reach their potential; but, in the next breath, men must help women reach theirs.
At a time when women encourage one another in “rage rituals” and feminists like Mona Eltahawy call for perpetual anger as the route to liberation, few can be surprised by the hysteria that followed National Football League kicker Harrison Butker’s speech to the graduating students of Benedictine College in Kansas.
It is a rage that has led well over 200,000 of the furious, mostly women, to sign a petition demanding he be fired by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Manufacturing outrage is what feminist journalism does best, and its audience is eager for cosplay rebellion and narcissistic posturing even when, as in the case of the speech, the hyperventilating is far in excess of the fact.
That even Benedictine nuns have joined the chorus shows how many women in all walks of life find such posturing near-irresistible.
Of course, if Butker had addressed the Benedictine College graduates to say that Catholicism was riddled with misogyny and homophobia, no popular petitions would have been launched. If he had said that abortion was a gift to humanity and that female priests would lead the church to glory, his words would have sparked dissent only in the most marginal of venues.
Let a man praise his wife for her devotion to family, and we witness a stampede of foul-mouthed nasties to their bullhorns.

Women’s unmoored anger, purportedly forbidden for centuries (I wonder why!), is now such a glorious force for good that it is to be stoked at any opportunity.
Apart from two (perhaps ill-considered) sentences about President Biden’s support for abortion and one reference to Pride Month, Butker’s speech rehearsed classic Catholic themes of holiness.
He relied heavily on the ideas of St. Josemaria Escriva, a popular Spanish priest and founder of Opus Dei. Large portions of the speech were taken up with an explanation of why Butker prefers the traditional Latin Mass and why he encouraged graduates of the college to seek it out.
He spoke against birth control and in favor of natural families. He also exhorted priests to be more devoted shepherds and expressed shock that during Covid-19, mass was denied to many of the faithful, and many Catholics died alone without the Last Rites.

The simple fact is that Butker gave an orthodox Catholic speech at a Catholic college, where he expected that many would appreciate it. And most did (his jersey sales are way up, showing that NFL fans loved it too). The speech received a standing ovation from the graduating students.
Benedictine College has as its declared mission “the education of men and women within a community of faith and scholarship.” A section on its webpage, “Building a Culture of Evangelization,” affirms traditional Catholicism, explaining that all students take courses in Thomist philosophy and theology; that co-ed dorms are forbidden; that students are taught the “theology of the body;” that crucifixes are placed in every dorm room and students expected to participate in Rosary and morning prayer.
No one attending Benedictine College should have been unaware that it takes its Catholicism seriously.
Most of the women worked up about Butker’s words have probably not watched his address or read the transcript, and their self-preening anger is the now-familiar fruit of feminist grievance-mongering.
It is disgusting that these women should feel no shame in demanding a man be fired for speaking about his religious convictions at a Catholic college.
It is indeed a disordered society, as Butker said, in which women believe it their right to dictate what a man is allowed to praise in his own wife.
Butker did speak some plain truths about the need for masculinity: “Be unapologetic in your masculinity. Fight against the cultural emasculation of men. Do hard things. Never settle for what is easy.”
In “saying the difficult stuff out loud,” he embodied the masculine bluntness and commitment to truth-speaking that he values. These have been remarkably absent from religious life and college campuses for the past 50 years, as have the (masculine-inspired and religious) values of order, self-restraint, modesty, and service to others.
On one level, the fuss about Butker’s words is much ado about nothing. A man spoke at a Catholic college and many in his audience, and outside it, liked what he said. But it is a serious matter that hundreds of thousands demand his firing for it, and that the NFL is taking their rage seriously rather than defending the free speech and conscience rights of one of its players.
The craven cowardice of the National Football League—and the majority of Butker’s teammates—has never been more apparent.
When the most macho sport in America is afraid of alienating the intersectional feminist lobby, the official degradation of masculinity and the triumph of the raging feminine would appear near-complete. Let those of us who can take heed.

I have a chicken story, too. We once had an Asian rooster we named “Buck”. Quite a handsome fellow.
I bought him from a lady I did some work for. I brought him and a hen home with me and put them out in the fenced back yard. But a cold front blew through that first night. Very cold, and I hadn’t made a coop for them.
The next morning I went out to feed them. The hen was gone and Buck was sick as a dog. I brought him inside, fixed him up a warm roost and nursed him back to health. He loved popcorn and scrambled eggs.
In no time at all he became the house rooster, following us around, perching on the kitchen door at night and waking us at dawn without fail. He’d sit on our laps, watch TV with us and take popcorn from between our lips. He knew his name, too.
He was quite a character. He’d hop up the stairs to the bedroom and peck at the door to be let in. He loved belly rubs and clucked appreciatively all the while.
When I’d open the upstairs window and call his name he’d come running over, stare up at me, moving his head around to gauge the trajectory before launching himself up – to land neatly on the window sill.
He was great. I’d give a lot to have him back.

I’ve seen that with house cats. This is my second.
The first was playful as a kitten, but became laid back as an adult and enjoyed going outside to sit on the warm sand.

I never met Jim Corbett but I did meet 3 people who knew him. When India became independent, Corbett moved to Kenya and started a safari company. He brought David Ommaney with him to hunt lions.
Ommaney was the first to test the .458 Winchester in Africa and he often apeared in Winchester ads. I often met David in the Miombo safaris office. Nice man.
Another was Fred Duckworth whom I met at game shows. Fred grew up in India in the same town as Corbett and knew Corbett and all of his friends. Fred was the conservation adviser to Ethiopia’s King Hailie Selassi.
I also once spent a week with Peter Turnbull-Kemp who was a game warden in Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe and he knew Corbett in Kenya. Corbett’s book are on the whole accurate, but either he or his sister, who helped him write his books, did fudge a few things to put Corbett in a better light.

The Respectable Right Discovers Anti-White Hostility

Jeremy Carl, The Unprotected Class: How Anti-White Racism is Tearing America Apart, Regnery Publishing, 2024, 369+xviii pages, $29.99 hardcover, $14.99 e-book
Jeremy Carl is a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute, served as deputy assistant secretary of the interior under President Trump, and has been associated with the Hoover Institution. His other books have dealt with energy policy. In a chapter on religion, he describes himself as “an actively engaged Christian of Jewish descent.”
That a writer with solid connections to “respectable conservatism” is publishing a book with “anti-white racism” in the subtitle is a sign of changing times. Moreover, the author does not try to tell us that the problem with hostility towards whites is merely “divisive” or supposedly incompatible with Martin Luther King’s “dream.” He states forthrightly that it leads to injustices against whites, and that whites must fight back.
The heart of The Unprotected Class is 12 chapters dealing with anti-white attitudes and policy in civil rights law, crime and punishment, housing, education, historical remembrance, immigration, entertainment, environmentalism, business, medicine, religion, and the military.
Race realism peeks through only in the chapter about medicine; the author admits that race differences are based in biology. The first four chapters are the most interesting.
Civil rights and law
Mr. Carl rightly begins his analysis with civil rights law, the heart of the anti-white regime. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 did much more than outlaw certain types of racial discrimination; it created an army of bureaucrats and lawyers to enforce the new rules. The intrusive powers of this bureaucracy were greatly extended by the Supreme Court’s decision in Griggs vs. Duke Power Supply (1971), a case involving the use of IQ and mechanical aptitude tests to assess employees for advancement.
As the author notes, “the record is clear that the Congress which enacted the 1964 act did not intend to interfere with employment tests,” but that didn’t matter.
Blacks do not perform as well as whites on IQ and other tests, and the Court ruled that this “disparate impact” by race is discrimination even if there is no intent to discriminate. As Mr. Carl writes:
“Disparate impact has been used exhaustively to deprive whites of jobs they would have otherwise earned. Much of this happens not overtly, but due to the ubiquitous looming threat of a disparate impact lawsuit. . . . Most companies, after all, loathe legal risk.
Disparate impact now applies not just to employment but to “housing policy, education, and criminal background and credit checks, discriminating against whites in almost every instance.”
The problem with the reasoning behind disparate impact is that, since the races are different for evolutionary reasons beyond our power to alter, everything we do can have a disparate impact. As legal scholar Gail L. Heriot wrote in 2020, the Griggs standard makes virtually everything presumptively illegal. If we are not all being sued all the time, it is only because there are still some time and budgetary constraints on the Department of Justice.
The Department continues to grow, however, sucking wealth and energy out of private enterprise and impoverishing us all. Whites will not be able to deal with this monster through euphemism and compromise; we have to defeat it.
This will not be easy, because private companies have long since internalized the thinking behind Griggs and civil rights law: “When the Reagan administration attempted to weaken enforcement . . . they were dismayed to find the business community opposing them.” Large companies — with employees dedicated to satisfying civil rights laws — can outcompete small companies that can’t afford such employees.
Anti-white quotas known euphemistically as “affirmative action” were an inevitable consequence of Griggs, because they are the only way to avoid liability. Americans don’t like race preferences. As the author points out: “Even in liberal California, the movement to restore affirmative action to universities went down to a 57-42 percent defeat, despite having the endorsement of almost every Democratic politician and despite outspending its opposition overwhelmingly.”
The refusal of the Republican Party to show any leadership on this indicates that respectability in the eyes of its constituents’ enemies is more important than victory.
Mr. Carl devotes special attention to affirmative action in the legal profession. Prospective law students take the standardized Law School Admissions Test, or LSAT, and a score of 170 is about average for admission to America’s top 10 law schools.
The ratio of whites to blacks getting this score is greater than 60-to-one. Nonetheless, blacks and other “underrepresented minorities” are not only admitted to top law schools, but to the bar and the bench, at wildly disproportionate rates. Moral decay in the political West is obvious to the entire world. Even the relatively mundane things such as the laughable Eurovision “Song Contest” are a clear proof of this.
It shows that most people in the political West cannot even enjoy music anymore without being subjected to a forceful display of societal degeneracy that is slowly but surely deconstructing Europe and all others unfortunate enough to be dominated by EU/NATO.
And yet, the scale of the extremist, ultra-liberal dictatorship that has taken over all these countries is very difficult to understand unless one delves deeper into its darkest corners. This is particularly true when it comes to things like pedophilia and similar deviations that are considered criminal offenses in normal societies.
As pedophilia becomes more openly prevalent in the European Union’s and America’s political discourse, there are new euphemisms that such people would like to impose, including the ridiculous acronym known as the MAP or “minor-attracted person”.
Even the United States government institutions openly support this agenda, promoting the “need to understand” pedophiles. Obviously, this means that anyone sane would want to keep their children as far away as possible from the political West, particularly as the so-called “transgender” people are now commonly seen dancing virtually naked in front of preschool kids, usually in sexually explicit ways.
To the dismay of anyone even remotely sane, this has become the “new normal” in many Western countries.
Unfortunately, there are heavily indoctrinated people who are ready to expose their offspring to the severe childhood trauma of watching grown, virtually naked men pretending to be women. The majority still find it absolutely repulsive but are too afraid to do anything about it.
Such tectonic changes and the collapse of traditional and time-tested values also perfectly explain the virtual exodus of hundreds of thousands of normal people from areas afflicted by the (neo)liberal disease to other regions and countries where their families (children in particular) can be safe from escalating moral degeneracy.
However, the number of places in the political West where one can be safe from this (which is already dangerously low) is going down fast.
Namely, several sources report that Germany, one of the leading EU/NATO members, has effectively legalized child pornography. And while this has become a reason for celebration among numerous pedophile groups and their supporters, it certainly alarmed everyone else. The mainstream propaganda machine likes to call these organizations “pro-MAP” (i.e. pro-pedophile), but basic logic implies that the prefix “pro” is redundant in this case.
The so-called “fact-checkers” desperately tried to “debunk” reports about Berlin’s decriminalization of child pornography, but to no avail, as other, more conservative media outlets, caught wind of it and actually debunked their laughable “fact-checking”, proving that the controversial law is indeed in effect.
To make matters worse, the Bundestag (Germany’s Parliament) passed the amendments under the pretext of “protecting children’s rights”. The ludicrous irony of this would certainly be a laughing matter if the problems this will cause didn’t actually affect children and families. And to further this irony, Berlin is also reducing prison sentences for the possession of child abuse images.
The mainstream propaganda machine claims that Germany did so to “avoid unintended problems”. What sort of “problems” could possibly come from sentencing pedophiles to long-term prison sentences? Normal people would argue that having them in the streets and other public spaces (or, in fact, any place other than a holding cell) is a far bigger problem.
This is certainly not the only issue with moral degeneracy in the country, as its “social experts” suggested decriminalizing incest – a decade ago, mind you.
All this also exposes another peculiarity of the political West – its endless hypocrisy. Namely, the so-called “International Criminal Court”, a glorified NGO posing as a “court”, issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, his Commissioner for Children’s Rights, citing alleged “war crimes” in Ukraine as the reason for the indictment.
Putin’s and Lvova-Belova’s decision to evacuate Ukrainian children from an active warzone is supposedly a “war crime”, but when EU/NATO’s top members effectively legalize pedophilia, that’s just “perfectly fine”.
However, apart from hypocrisy, all this reveals something far more sinister – the possibly grim fate for tens of thousands of helpless children stranded in Europe and elsewhere.
Ukrainian refugees are particularly affected, as thousands of kids have fled the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict on their own. Precisely Germany is one of the top destinations for refugees, which makes the timing of these new laws all the more disturbing.
There’s also the issue of the Neo-Nazi junta’s close cooperation with leading NATO members when it comes to the massive child trafficking from Ukraine, not only for sexual exploitation, but also for organ harvesting. It’s very difficult to say what’s worse, but the mainstream propaganda machine is silent, busy lying about Russia.

The sneaky Jews didn’t ‘create’ the Sunni Hamas, Islamic Resistance Movement, although it proved useful over the years in keeping the secular PLO, of which Fatah is the chief political faction, in turmoil, and too busy and distracted to pursue the two-state process.
Hamas evolved out of a Muslim Brotherhood social charity group in the 1980s. Hamas as a political party was established in 1987, duly organized and registered with Israel, and has its origins in Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood movement, which had been active in the Gaza Strip since the 1950s and gained influence through a network of mosques and various charitable and social organizations — also duly registered with Israel’s occupation government.
In the 1980s the Brotherhood emerged as a powerful political factor, challenging the influence of the PLO, and in 1987 adopted a more nationalist and activist line under the new name of Hamas. This is when Netanyahu started playing his games supporting Hamas against the PLO, meddling in Palestinian politics, particularly throughout the 1990s.
During the 1990s and early 2000s, the organization turned its attention away from inter-Palestinian conflict and conducted numerous suicide bombings and other attacks against Israel itself.
This also suited Netanyahu’s purposes, in that it prevented any movement on the two-state solution, the apartheid wall began to go up, and the cancerous tumor of the illegal settler movement, once they were expelled from Gaza under Ariel Sharon, began taking over the West Bank (their biblical ‘Judea & Samaria’). But Hamas wasn’t stupid and eventually wised up. I believe they used Bibsy far more effectively than Bibsy used Hamas, because both shared an interest in keeping Fatah, the main political party of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and so of the PA, off balance and weakened.
Bibsy thought he had the tiger by the tail, and has now wound up with that tiger ripping a chunk out of his butt.
In the Palestinian legislative election of January 2006, Hamas conducting a very effective political campaign gained a large majority of seats in the Palestinian Parliament, catching Israel completely by surprise, defeating the ruling Fatah party which controls through Abbas the Palestine Authority, all of which is nothing more than the collaborator quasi-government under Israel’s military occupation of the West Bank.
After the elections, a civil war in a series of conflicts arose between Hamas and Fatah, hanging on to power by force of arms and supported by Tel Aviv, which they were unable to resolve.
Fatah refused to step down from the Palestinian Parliament after losing the election, and giving up control of the Palestinian Authority, which had long ago under Abbas become the tool of Tel Aviv.
In June 2007, Hamas defeated Fatah in a series of violent clashes in Gaza, and since that time Hamas, a legit political party not much different conceptually than Democrats or Republicans, has governed the Gaza portion of the Palestinian Territories’ civilian administration and ministries under Israel’s blockade, while at the same time they were ousted from their duly-elected government positions in the West Bank.
Israel and Egypt then imposed an economic blockade on Gaza and largely sealed their borders with the territory.
October 7 was no ‘false flag’. That’s a complete misnomer because a ‘false flag’ would have been the Jews carrying out the attack on its own IDF Gaza Defense and then blaming Hamas.
There’s a huge black and white debate about whether the Resistance attack was a genuine surprise or that Bibsy let it happen on purpose, which is simplistic to the extreme.
I have no doubt that Hamas is a legitimate Palestinian resistance movement and has been for decades, or else none of the other resistance factions, especially the major one, would cooperate with it now politically and militarily.
As for Bibsy paying Hamas money over the years for whatever reasons, it has backfired on him, much like Wiley Coyote always loses to Roadrunner.
There’s also a complicated tax revenue transfer thing that Israel handles for the PA (and skimming something like 30% off the top) to cover basic services and salaries, and I believe (but don’t quote me) the collaborator PA cut Gaza off from after Hamas came to power. Somewhere along the way, Qatar started paying for the Gaza administration costs for salaries and services, all of which has to go through, where else, but Tel Aviv.
As to what actually happened, McGregor says the jury is still out, he has more to learn, and he has not yet decided just what happened. I kind of agree with that, there’s been a whole lot of blaming and finger-pointing throughout Israel security services and the IDF, much of which strikes me as CYA type stuff.
I personally think the IDF just got caught in their hubris with their pants down after a week of partying for Succoth and were lulled into a false sense of security with their high-tech, AI surveillance security weapons systems.
Military intelligence failure and all that. Military intelligence about the Resistance military activities and preparations was passed up the chain of command and ignored.
Al Qassam, the lead Palestinian military unit of near professional quality, had been openly practicing their moves for over a year, and it spoofed the surveillance AI algorithm, because the day of the attack, the AI didn’t see anything unusual from Al Qassam and the other militant wings starting their day.
Al Qassam was then able to destroy the automatic cameras and guardian auto-machine gun turrets by drones, along with coordinated destruction of command, control and communications systems in the bases all along the Gaza Defense Envelope perimeter. Gaza Defense originally incorporated the kibbutzim into the national defense, over time the kibbutzim were ‘privatized’ as the armed kibbutzniks got old and more conventional, and security was handed over to private security, or the IDF embedded within the kibbutzim.
Re’im Military base is somewhere inside Re’im Kibbutz. It was the command, communications and control center for the Gaza Defense, relocated there after the Jews evacuated Gaza in 2005, home to the most elite special forces of the IDF. A figure sticks in my memory that some 70 IDF including elites and the top command of Gaza Defense were killed in the Al Aqsa raid.
It was also in open land ‘nature preserve’ on the Re’im Kibbutz property that the venue of the Nova Rave was changed at the last minute for mysterious reasons according to the producer. Nova then started setting up late Friday night after a previous 2 or 3-day festival had closed Thursday night and packed up earlier Friday, and then opening the gates at 3 am Saturday morning, October 7, for partiers to start coming in.
Resistance had no idea that Nova Rave had moved in until they kicked off the Al Aqsa Flood operation and their paragliders began transiting the sky over it in the early dawn, under the cover of a coordinated rocket attack. They had done their recon either Thursday night or earlier Friday and their intelligence would have seen that the earlier rave would have vacated.
Footage from the Nova Rave shows a huge festival in full swing when the paragliders flew overhead coming in for a landing.
The open land in the vicinity of the rave was set up had to be Al Qassam’s designated landing spot and staging point for the attack on Re’im Military Base.
Hamas politicians knew about the attack after the fact. It was secretly planned by the militant wing independently of Hamas political and government officials. A very tight cell of Al Qassam actually planned the military attack on Gaza Defense independent of Hamas or anyone else for over a year, except for other trusted leaders and cells from the other resistance militant factions.
Most of the militants participating in Al Aqsa Flood hostilities would have mustered in the tunnels and received their tactical operation instructions in the few hours before kicking it off.
Here’s what I’ve been mulling from obscure facts I’ve gleaned.
Al Qassam and other militants’ videos from the attacks all along the Gaza Defense Envelope show them penetrating practically empty bases and outposts with just one or two armed sentries walking around. Their intrusion into the barracks where IDF were sleeping showed only partially filled beds.
The video of the captured IDF women now being blasted across the MSM (with lying captions) I understand were Gaza Defense spotters at Nahal Oz military base, and they would be responsible for monitoring the computer screens from the automatic guard towers along the defensive fence where Hamas breached it.
However, these women were not in uniform. They were surprised and captured while sleeping in the barracks during the attack on the Nahal Oz kibbutz and military base. Israel tried to pass them off as innocent civilians, but debunkers were on top of it.
I remember another video of a computer security surveillance room of some sort, unknown if it was Nahal Oz or somewhere else, of militants attacking and shooting uniformed staff, including women, probably on-duty spotters during the massacres.
Later, Al Qassam stated, through the Hamas leadership, that they had expected that their Al Aqsa Flood attack and raid would be mostly a martyrdom mission, and that they were caught completely by surprise at how easily they were able to penetrate the military bases with minimal armed resistance by the IDF, (some bases and posts were embedded in the kibbutzim, the private areas having their own security personnel), kill the IDF personnel, ambushing many asleep in the barracks and taking over the IDF premises. Some of the GoPro footage of the initial assaults really does show the IDF bases seemingly operating with skeleton crews.
Which brings me back to the Nova Rave. In the first couple of days after the October 7 attack, among the groups of hippyish ravers, there were photos and videos of dozens and dozens of young guys, with high and tight haircuts, dressed in civilian clothes, with the demeanor of active-duty military guys on leave.
They were partying with a bunch of women who hung out with these guys, and the women were not milling about with the rest of the partiers.
So, the question in my mind is this, on top of the “intelligence failure” (likely true) and Bibsy let it happen on purpose (also likely tru): Is the reason that Al Aqsa Flood was so successful with less combat and with the far less number of deaths than Al Qassam anticipated because there was such little IDF resistance to their attack, that some or all of the bases attacked showed skeleton crews, half empty barracks with most people still asleep when the bases were attacked, and that the Nova Rave’s venue was changed at the very last minute so that the soldiers of the Gaza Defense Command located at Re’im Military Base at or next to Re’im Kibbutz could go party without technically going AWOL?
Anyway, 380-400 IDF of the Gaza Defense Envelope were killed on October 7, the rest of the fatalities being civilians or private security, many, if not most, were Hannibaled by the IDF in the kibbutzim as well as in the roadways and fields in and around the hotspots as well as on the roads back to Gaza, taken captive by Gazan militants or roving independent gangs. I have a suspicion that the IDF Hannibaled a large bunch their own Re’im Military Base guys as well, who were out partying at the Nova Rave in the IDF free for all after they lost their command center.
In the meantime, Israhell is undergoing a slow-motion implosion. Hundreds of thousands of duocitizens, including illegal settlers, have left Israhell and don’t intend on coming back, because Hamas proved once and for all that Israhell is not a perfectly safe place for Jews. IDF reservists get pulled off of their jobs, especially in the tech industry, and the economy is taking a huge beating. IDF is not saying how many dead and wounded there are, but the military censor let slip during a promo video about medical helicopter evacuations that the helos have lifted “thousands of IDF with life-threatening injuries.”
These soldiers would normally die in most war situations, but in Israhell, the trauma hospitals are less than 5 minutes away from Gaza via air. So if they survive the first few minutes after being blasted in their tanks and personnel carriers, or blasted in ambushes, or sniped with a .50 cal incendiary bullet, and long enough to get evacuated by a trauma medivac helicopter, then the trauma hospitals are doing “miracles”.
I’ve heard other references to large numbers of IDF regulars and reservists who suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries, which could be anything from limb amputations, messed up innards and having to wear a colostomy bag for the rest of their lives, to traumatic brain injury and vegetative coma.
Israel is not winning. It’s estimated by some military intelligence types that the Gaza Resistance has lost 30% of its fighting force, which is probably wishful thinking on their part, which means the Resistance is still an effective fighting force, and there’s no telling now how many Gazan men, having lost their families and everything they own, are filling up the Resistance armed wings.
Netanyahu has not achieved anything close his stated 3 main objectives: “eliminate Hamas, return our hostages and ensure that Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel.”

That’s a lot of detailed information. By Hannibaled you mean friendly fire? If so, I concur the IDF fired indiscriminately and purposefully to boost bodycount.
By false flag, Israel wanted the raid to happen and may have had Mossad operatives embedded. Hamas has many elements, I get that. But, under the umbrella heading of Hamas, they were conducting training in plain site of Israel for months leading up to the raid. Israel knew, and the CIA knew as well. That is why there was massive insider trading on Israeli held companies.
The simplest explanation is often the most likely. The more details involved, the more convoluted things become. Bibi was giving money to Hamas and meeting with them in private. Bibi is the man pulling the wires.

Since it’s Israel’s general policy not to negotiate for hostages as it “creates a national problem” (embarrassment), Hannibal Directive is a secret oral directive which commanded that any IDF soldiers taken prisoner by a hostile party would be murdered by the same IDF to prevent them from later becoming negotiation pieces and part of exchanges for mostly civilian Palestinian “detainees” languishing in Israeli prisons without charges for years or political prisoners.
IDF noisily publicly announced that it had abolished the ‘Hannibal Directive’ back in 2016, but that was just PR. There’s plenty of former IDF, especially pilots, who’ve said that the Directive was still active, and passed on orally.
On October 7, with the loss of Gaza Defense command, control and central communications base, IDF combat helicopter pilots, alerted to the raid by cellphone alerts and national military radio as I recall, took to the air ad hoc and started firing hellfire missiles at anything that moved.
Tank brigades also moved in on the kibbutzim, especially Nahal Oz, and began firing on and shelling houses to bring them down, some with incendiary rounds, killing any militants and potential hostages still in the houses.
October 7 is the first time that the Hannibal Directive was utilized on civilians, and it was the headless IDF running berserk.
Al Jazeera ran a good story on the Hannibal Directive back in November before the real truth started leaking out from survivors about what the IDF had done to their own Israeli citizens, both in and around the Nova Rave, the roads into Gaza, and the Kibbutzim.
Enough had come out from soldiers, survivors and interviews from tank drivers and pilots that by about February, IDF had to admit they’d Hannibaled a lot of their own civilians, and that it was “field decisions” made by pilots and tank captains on the scene.
‘Friendly fire’ is generally understood as being mistaken for the enemy and so killed by one’s own side by accident, in other words, not intentional. Soldiers and civilians can be caught in crossfire, and so killed by one’s own side by accident, and that is also ‘friendly fire’.
Hannibal Directive implemented on Israeli civilians for the first time ever was not ‘friendly fire’, it was intentional and deliberate murder by the IDF, either through indiscriminate shooting of anything that moved, and blowing up vehicles and houses where it was suspected that Resistance had taken civilian hostages. A lot of escaping Nova ravers trying to get away from the killing free for all were murdered by the IDF.
Of the 1000 fatalities on October 7, about 380-400 were IDF soldiers that Resistance caught in the bases (or else out on the Re’im Kibbutz grounds partying at the Nova Rave).
At first, Israel said there were 1200 dead Israelis, but then it was discovered that about 200 of the bodies were Palestinian, dropping the total down to about 1000. Subtract the approximate 400 IDF killed by the Resistance, it leaves 600 civilians killed.
I’m betting about half of them, at least, were actually killed by the IDF and not the Resistance.
There was also a huge problem after the Al Qassam coalition had returned to Gaza with the prisoners they’d taken from the military bases and the kibbutzim, is that later waves of 3rd-tier independent militants, wannabes, and armed mobs of Gazans poured out the breaches in the Gaza Fence, went on a killing and looting spree, snatching their own hostages, as well as unarmed sightseers from Gaza (who’d never been outside the confines of the Gaza Strip) were roaming around as well.
Hindsight being 20/20, if I’d been Al Qassam, to get away with a clean, professional level military operation, I would have restricted all the breaching points in the fence to prevent any further waves of Gazans who poured out through the fence.
And now, all of the vehicles (I believe about 150) from the Nova Rave and Gaza vicinity which were burnt into masses of twisted metal and the occupants charred to a crisp by IDF hellfire missiles have been buried in Jewish cemeteries in case any pieces of Jewish flesh were left in those cars not retrieved with the corpses, immune to exhumation for obtaining any future forensic evidence for military investigation and tribunals.
Bibsy could care less about the hostages still in Hamas’ custody, however there’s a formidable Israeli protest movement led by the hostages’ family members demanding negotiations, and demanding Netanyahu’s head as well.
The IDF hasn’t rescued one hostage. They only retrieve the ones that they’ve murdered. -Kj

A raw recording taken from the communication equipment used by an IDF surveillance soldier on the morning of October 7 was aired for the first time by Channel 12 on Wednesday evening, allowing a glimpse into the last hours of the surveillance soldiers on the Nahal Oz military base, who remained at their stations up until the end.
The recordings were taken from the radio of slain soldier Roni Eshel, whose parents allowed the audio to be released to the public after it was shared with them by the IDF.
“All stations receive, four people are running to the fence, confirm receipt,” Roni can be heard saying in the radio transmission, which went out to all soldiers in the area at 6:29 a.m. on October 7. “Two armed people are running at the fence, confirm receipt.”
Moments later, Roni transmitted another message, this time warning of armed terrorists crossing into the no man’s land that separates Israel from the Gaza Strip, using the IDF code for the threat, “Turkish horsemen.”
“One armed terrorist has crossed [the border], one armed terrorist, confirm receipt,” she can be heard saying, speaking fast but calmly. She continued broadcasting information about the terrorists she could see crossing the preliminary Gaza border fence as their numbers slowly swelled and they moved toward the reinforced barrier separating the Palestinian enclave from Israel.
“Two people are standing at the ‘Sand Timer’ fence,” she said, her voice signaling urgency. “They’re messing with the fence, confirm receipt.”
“The ‘Sand Timer’ fence has exploded. People have blown up the fence, confirm receipt,” she said a moment later. “Receive, there is a hole in the fence, two people blew up the fence with a bomb. They are standing next to the hole, they haven’t crossed through it yet.”
The 19-year-old surveillance soldier issued a final broadcast, “They have blown up the ‘Sand Timer’ fence. Three people are currently standing [inside Israel]. They are armed. Confirm receipt.”
Surveillance soldiers up and down the Gaza Strip were broadcasting similar urgent messages as the scene relayed by Roni repeated itself at dozens of locations. Minutes later, their cameras would be cut and the soldiers in the field would find themselves fighting blind.
“Roni was a hero who played her part perfectly. I’m very proud,” her father Eyal Eshel told Channel 12 after the recordings were aired.
“It’s creepy,” he said of the broadcasts. “These are one-sided tapes because we don’t know who she’s talking to and what’s being said back.”
He added: “It’s even more chilling that these girls could have been saved, all of them.”
Roni is believed to have lived for another six hours after her final broadcast. She was killed by infiltrating Hamas terrorists just after midday, along with more than a dozen of her fellow surveillance soldiers.
Lamenting what he said was the needless death of his daughter, Eshel explained that based on IDF findings and personal research, it would have been “possible to save these girls from 6:23 a.m., until minutes before noon, if someone in the IDF had been intelligent enough to understand that they needed to be loaded into a vehicle and evacuated from the base.”
Explaining that the families of the deceased surveillance soldiers pressed for the release of the recordings, Eyal said he hoped more would be released.

Roni was considered missing for more than a month, as her parents begged publicly and desperately for information. On November 9, the IDF finally confirmed that she had been killed during the initial attack.
She had been in the army for a year and two months and had warned her superiors numerous times that Hamas terrorists were studying the border in preparation for something unknown, her father has said in multiple interviews.
Fifteen surveillance soldiers were killed on the Nahal Oz base on October 7, and six were taken hostage. One of the abducted soldiers, Cpl. Ori Megidish, was rescued by the IDF in late October, but the other five remain in captivity, their condition unknown.

Middle East Eye reports: A suspected Israeli reservist has threatened mutiny if the war on Gaza ends before “complete victory”, saying he wants to annihilate Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

He said in a video posted on Friday, “Yoav Gallant, you can’t win the war. Resign. You can’t win this war. You can’t command us.
“I am telling you, Mr Yoav Gallant, if we do not continue until victory, 100,000 reservists will remain on the fence and we will call residents of the State of Israel to come to Gaza under our protection,” he added, referring to the boundary fence between Israel and Gaza.
The Israeli military has opened an investigation into the video, saying the behavior in it was a “serious violation” of army orders and values and constitutes a suspected criminal offense, according to Israeli media.
An “immediate command meeting” has also been convened by the chief of staff, a military spokesperson told Haaretz.
The video was addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and it came after Gallant clashed with him over the so-called “post-war plan” in Gaza.
Earlier this month, Gallant publicly rejected open-ended Israeli governance over Gaza, demanding civilian affairs be handled by a Palestinian body.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this video is intended for you, we are reserve soldiers who do not intend on passing the keys of Gaza to any entity; be it Hamas, PLO [Palestine Liberation Organization] or any other Arab entity,” the soldier said in the video.
“The reserve soldiers are behind your back, and we want to win. We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You have 100,000 soldiers that are ready to give their souls to the People of Israel … We will stay here until the end, until victory.”
The soldier went on to say they would take orders only from Netanyahu, not Gallant or the chief of staff.
He added that soldiers want to “tear to pieces whoever is left here”.
“Whoever celebrated when we were slaughtered, all those little kids that stepped on our soldiers and brothers heads when they stepped foot on Gaza’s soil, all those people, we want to kill,” he said.
“No one will stay alive, whoever hurt the people of Israel, whoever hurt our brothers, the Jews, the Druze, the Bedouins, we want to annihilate them.

The IDF narrative seems to be undergoing phase shifts.
First, the “precise intelligence” was supposed to be the site from where the rockets were launched at Tel Aviv, as if the Resistance militants would be hanging around for hours after their attack. They may have realized that “precision munitions guided by accurate intelligence” indicate that the killing of civilians in the displacement camp was not accidental, but deliberate and intentional.
Now IDF is winding the yarn that they had “precise intelligence” that the structures they bombed had “senior Hamas officials” in them, even coming up with names, which must include the displacement camp tents in the designated ‘safe zones’, where these “senior Hamas officials” must have been hiding inside babies.
Over 100 are now reported killed and unknown numbers critically injured, especially from burns, in IDF’s “precision munitions-precision intelligence” strike on the displacement camp.

According to informed sources, the Israeli government will not agree to a ceasefire despite senior officials in the security apparatus expressing their willingness to stop the war.
A Palestinian woman was killed and others were injured in an Israeli artillery shelling on the town of Abasan, east of the city of Khan Yunis, as UNRWA reiterated that there is no safe place in Gaza.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 35,984 Palestinians have been killed, and 80,643 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7.

Game Over? – How the Capturing of Israeli Soldiers in Jabaliya Could Change the Rules of the Game in Gaza

The video was that of what seemed to be an Israeli soldier being pulled, clearly wounded – whether dead or alive – under a tunnel by a rugged-looking fighter somewhere, presumably in northern Gaza.
As soon as Abu Obeida, the military spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, declared the capture of Israeli soldiers soon after midnight on Sunday, a new variable was introduced to the complex scene in Gaza.
And almost instantly, history began repeating itself: Palestinians celebrated en masse and the Israeli military immediately denied such claims.
Judging by history, we have no reason to believe that Abu Obeida wasn’t telling the truth. Every statement the masked Palestinian fighter has made since the start of the war proved to be accurate, often with damning evidence of its accuracy.
The Israelis, on the other hand, do not have that same track record.
Not many military analysts out there would, for example, argue that Israel is telling the truth about the actual number of its military casualties in Gaza. In fact, the scandal of numbers has been part of the confused Israeli information war since October 7.
At times, Israel declared a certain number of casualties before, and without explanation, reduced the number significantly. Additionally, numbers produced by Israeli hospitals and medical sources – often communicated through Haaretz and other Israeli media – seemed entirely inconsistent with numbers revealed by Daniel Hagari and other Israeli military spokesmen.
Palestinian claims, however, have always been verified through well-documented videos, hundreds of them now, widely spread across digital media, news broadcasts all over the world and in every language.
Even the latest claim by Abu Obeida was verified by a short video and an image.
The video was that of what seemed to be an Israeli soldier being pulled, clearly wounded – whether dead or alive – under a tunnel by a rugged-looking fighter somewhere, presumably in northern Gaza.
The image was that of the weapons, vests and helmets of Israeli soldiers. Military analysts believe that the weapons displayed in the image were Czech guns, known as CZ Scorpion, which is often used by elite special units in the Israeli army.
Analysts go as far as identifying that specific unit to be the Shayetet 13 Command Unit, which could also be part of the Shin Bet security service.
This particular analysis is not just predicated on the type of weapon but also on the color coding of the soldiers’ uniforms, particularly of their boots and socks, which are usually not affiliated with a typical unit in the Israeli army.
This tells us that that special unit may have indeed, as the Resistance claimed, been lured into a tunnel, believing that it had located an important lead on the whereabouts of Israeli captives.
If these claims are indeed verified, it means that the Resistance continues to have superior intelligence even 232 days into the Israeli war on Gaza.
History seems to be repeating itself. A similar event had transpired on July 20, 2014: another Israeli war on Gaza, genocide-like outcome, yet another Israeli failed mission in the Strip, which also ended in a disaster for the Israeli army.

I understand your frustrations Ted, however this is a very new channel only a few months old and it seems its main audience targeted is the Catholic congregation. It also looks like its main theme or approach is forgiveness and prayer for the transgressors.

As regards the bar of soap and lampshade in every pot solution, a good argument can be made for its implementation. For example, if George Soros has been turned into a lampshade there would have been no color revolutions.

Soon after an Israeli air strike slammed into a camp in southern Gaza’s Rafah on Sunday night, tearing through the bodies of dozens of Palestinian men, women and children, and igniting a ferocious blaze, video footage of the aftermath drew horror and condemnation worldwide.
In Israel, however, prominent figures and members of the public viewed the massacre and the fire as the perfect way to celebrate a religious holiday.
Sunday was Lag BaOmer, a Jewish holiday where people across Israel light bonfires as a representation of spiritual light brought by Shimon bar Yochai, a revered second-century rabbi.
Usually, the day’s most prominent celebration is found on Mount Meron at Shimon bar Yochai’s tomb, where a large bonfire is lit and tens of thousands of worshippers gather in one of the largest mass events in the Jewish world.
But this weekend, security concerns restricted the attendance to just 30 people, prompting Yinon Magal, a senior journalist at Israel’s Channel 14, to post images of the Gaza massacre with the caption: “The main lighting of the year in Rafah.” He later removed the post on X.
Another journalist, Naveh Dromi at i24, reposted a video of the blaze under the caption “Happy Holiday”. That post was also later removed.
Yoav Eliasi, a far-right rapper and activist also known by his stage name “The Shadow”, posted videos of the Rafah fire on Telegram that also presented the incident as a Lag BaOmer bonfire.
On Sunday night and Monday morning, Israeli social media was abuzz, sharing jokes and memes mocking the Rafah massacre.
One of the most shocking images from Rafah on Sunday night was a man holding up the body of a child that had no head. A member of a popular right-wing Israeli Telegram group shared a photo of the man holding the dead child mocked up as an advert selling chicken. “Fresh chicken 1 shekel a kilo,” it said.
Many drew comparisons with Lag BaOmer bonfires. “The Nazis [Palestinians-Kj] burned themselves,” one Israeli posted on X. “Lag BaOmer – the Rafah version” wrote another while sharing footage of the incident, which later was reposted by Dromi.
At least 45 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli strike on the area of Rafah that Israel had designated as “safe” and told displaced people to settle in. On Friday, the International Court of Justice had ordered Israel to stop its offensive on Rafah.
The Israeli army said the strike was “precise” and targeted two senior Hamas officials. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said he held the United States responsible for supplying Israel with weaponry and financial assistance.
Condemnation has flooded in from European and Arab capitals. French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “outraged” by the attack. “These operations must stop. There are no safe areas in Rafah for Palestinian civilians,” he said, adding that there needs to be an immediate ceasefire.
More than 36,000 Palestinians have been killed since October by Israel’s war on Gaza, the vast majority of them women and children.

An unusual exchange of fire occured this morning (Monday) between IDF forces and soldiers of the Egyptian army in the Rafah Crossing area. During the incident, an Egyptian soldier was killed and several others were injured. There were no casualties among the IDF forces.
Israeli officials stated that the incident began when an Egyptian soldier opened fire at IDF troops, who then returned fire.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated, “A few hours ago (Monday), a shooting incident occurred on the Egyptian border. The incident is under review and discussions are being held with the Egyptians.”
The unusual event took place at the height of tensions between Israel and Egypt over the IDF’s activity at the Rafah Crossing.
Last night it was reported that about 30 people were killed as a result of an IAF attack in the area where the displaced from Rafah had gathered. The IDF has confirmed that an airstrike took place but stated it was not in the humanitarian area. An investigation into the strike is underway.

We know that there were eight very explosive air strikes on a makeshift tent camp with thousands of internally displaced Palestinians.
People decided to set up their tents there because they thought it would be safe, as its beside an UNRWA logistics space in Tal as-Sultan. It’s a very crowded place and the reason why fire caught the whole place is because it’s full of tents made of plastic and cloth.
Civil Defence has been trying for hours to put out the fires.
Thousands of children, women and families chose this area because … Israel claimed that it was a safe area.
In the last evacuation order the Israeli army posted, three blocks of that area were designated as safe so people evacuated from the eastern part of Rafah to the western part, fleeing air strikes.
The only hospital in Rafah has only eight beds and does not have an ICU unit, [so] the hospitals are not capable of treating all of these severe injuries.
Rafah has been targeted already this morning. And there are already injuries being treated in the hospitals.

Israeli forces attacked a camp for internally displaced people in a so-called “safe zone” in Rafah in southern Gaza, killing at least 35 Palestinians. Many of the victims were women and children. Dozens more were wounded.
Witnesses said Israeli forces deployed missiles in the attack on the Tal as-Sultan area. “They burned people alive… They burned an entire block in Tal as-Sultan,” one survivor told Al Jazeera.
The Government Media Office in Gaza said Israel used a 2,000-pound (907kg) bomb in the attack and that it marked the 10th Israeli assault on a displacement centre affiliated with the United Nations in the past 24 hours. It added that at least 190 people have been killed in the attacks.
Hamas condemned Israel’s “heinous massacre”, saying the raids were in “complete defiance and disregard” of the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) order on Israel to halt the military operation in Gaza.
Israel confirmed the attack, saying it struck a Hamas compound in Rafah. It acknowledged reports that civilians were wounded when a fire broke out and said the incident is under investigation.
Earlier in the day, Hamas launched a series of rockets from the Gaza Strip at the Israeli city of Tel Aviv. The launch – Hamas’s first in four months – caused light injuries, according to Israeli media.

Egypt-Israel Clash in Rafah – A News Analysis

Egyptian military and strategic expert, Brigadier General Samir Ragheb, told Al-Jazeera that Israel’s real aim in Rafah is not the Palestinian Resistance but Egypt itself.
These comments came shortly after the news emerged indicating that the Israeli and Egyptian militaries had in fact clashed near the Gaza-Egypt border.
News on what has taken place remains unclear. While Egyptian media have spoken about the clash between Egyptian and Israeli soldiers, the Egyptian army did not issue any statement till the news became quite known.
Eventually, Cairo announced the killing of an Egyptian soldier who was tasked with securing the border area near Rafah.
The Israeli army also confirmed the shooting, placing a gag order on the details.
Both militaries have decided to open an investigation, they said in separate statements.
Philadelphi Route
According to the rules of engagement that have governed that area for years, if an Israeli soldier crosses the Philadelphi Route, an occupied territory separating between Egypt and Rafah, an Egyptian soldier has the right to shoot him.
This is not General Ragheb’s analysis alone, but rather one of the understood details of the later addendum to the Camp David agreement signed between Egypt and Israel.
According to Israeli Channel 14, indeed the shooting took place inside the Rafah crossing, which is part of the Philadelphi Route.
For its part, the Israeli Walla website – known for its affiliation with Israeli intelligence – reported that two Egyptian soldiers were killed in the exchange of fire at the crossing.
While Israel is promoting the idea that it aims to occupy the Philadelphi Route to fight the Palestinian Resistance in Rafah, Ragheb claimed that Israel is simply not telling the truth. His logic is this: while Israel is in fact not deploying a large number of troops at the Philadelphi Route, it is amassing troops in the northern parts of that region, specifically within the Palestinian fence of the Rafah border.
This means that Israel is fortifying its defenses against Egypt, which has angered Egyptian activists, politicians and ultimately, the military.
Tents Massacre
For eight months, Palestinians have been imploring Egypt, along with other Arab countries, to take action against Israel to end its genocide in Gaza.
While many countries across the globe, including European countries, have expressed a strong political and legal position, Arab governments did not even go as far as severing diplomatic ties.
The Israeli action in Rafah, however, complicates the scene between Egypt and Israel, as Egyptian commentators, who are close to the government, have been warning that Israel is crossing the boundaries of Cairo’s own national security.
Israel occupied the border crossing on May 6, an action that was followed by anti-Egyptian propaganda coming from Tel Aviv itself, accusing Egypt of being the one responsible for the cutting off of aid to the Palestinians. Of course, neither the Palestinians nor the Egyptians – or anyone else for that matter – validated that claim, but it indicated that the extremist government of Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to export its problems in Gaza by roping in another Arab country.
But what could have been the decisive event, which complicates the scene even further, is what is being called the Tents Massacres in Rafah.
On Sunday night, May 26, as displaced Palestinians in the Rafah area – close to the border with Egypt – were ready to go to sleep, Israeli missiles rained down on top of the encampments. The outcome was one of the most devastating massacres committed against Palestinian refugees in the ongoing eight-month genocide.
Egyptian soldiers, on the other side of the border, must have watched in horror as Palestinians ran away from the inferno.
Whether that was the spark of the clashes between two sides at the border or not, today’s events at the crossing indicate that the breaking point, at least for the Egyptian military, may have been reached.
Egypt “will not accept what is happening on its borders and no force will prevent anyone from responding,” General Ragheb said.

Netanyahu Admits Strike on Rafah Was a ‘Tragic Mistake’ After Massive Backlash for Brutal Attack

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the bombing of a Palestinian camp in Rafah a “tragic mistake” amid condemnation for the deaths of an estimated 45 Palestinians in the incident.
“Despite our utmost efforts not to harm innocent civilians, last night, there was a tragic mistake,” Netanyahu said, according to The Associated Press. “We are investigating the incident and will obtain a conclusion because this is our policy.”
Despite the response, Israel still felt the brunt of international condemnation.
“There are no safe areas in Rafah for Palestinian civilians,” French President Emmanuel Macron said, according to The New York Times. He called for “full respect for international law and an immediate ceasefire.”
The Times quoted the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry as saying 45 people were killed and 240 people were wounded.

‘Resistance Our Only Option’ – Palestinians React to News of Israeli Soldiers Captured in Jabaliya

Palestinian Resistance captured yet more Israeli soldiers, this time in Jabaliya, in northern Gaza. The Palestine Chronicle gauged the views of Palestinians in the Strip.
Mass rallies took place in the streets of Gaza in the early hours of Sunday, May 26, following the announcement by Abu Obeida of the capture of Israeli soldiers by Al-Qassam Brigades fighters in the Jabaliya refugee camp.
The Palestine Chronicle asked four Gaza residents to comment on the operation carried out by the Palestinian Resistance over 230 days after the beginning of Israel’s genocidal war.
Collective Choice
Ayman Amouna is a young Palestinian living in Rafah. He has lost his home due to Israeli shelling, along with many relatives.
“The capture of Israeli soldiers brought joy back to our hearts,” he told the Palestine Chronicle.
Amouna explained that resistance is the only option for the Palestinian people to confront the Israeli aggression and stop their continuous crimes against civilians which have been going on since 1948.
“Resistance is a choice that all Palestinians have made to liberate their land and reclaim their rights,” he said, vowing that Israeli crimes, no matter how heinous, will not succeed in displacing the Palestinian people or removing them from their land.
Rallying Our the Shelters
Mohammed al-Issawi also lost his home due to an Israeli strike and is now living in a shelter in Deir al-Balah, located in central Gaza.
“When Abu Obeida announced the capture of Israeli soldiers, we went out in a small march around the refugee camps to celebrate the news,” he told us.
“We have been living under occupation for 76 years, and we have no choice but to resist the occupation to drive it out of our country and reclaim all our occupied lands.
Honorable Deal
Samia Mustafa lost her husband during this war and she is now raising her two children alone.
“I will teach my sons that resistance is the only option to reclaim our lands and to honor the legacy of their killed father,” she told us.
“The occupation deprived my children of their father, and we have been living in shelters for several months now,” Mustafa continued.
“Despite all this pain, however, the capture of soldiers has instilled hope in us that an honorable exchange deal will be eventually possible.”
Dignified Lives
Ahmed Abdullah lost all his family members when his house in the Nuseirat refugee camp was bombed.
“The occupation knows well that it cannot free its captives by force, and it is sinking in the sands of Gaza,” Abdullah said.
“Its only option is to negotiate an exchange deal that complies with the Resistance’s conditions and achieves the dignified life we seek,” he said.
Abdullah also pointed out that the occupation is holding more than 10,000 Palestinians in its prisons, and it is the right of the Palestinian people to free their prisoners.
“This is what the Resistance groups are working on. We want the release of all our detainees from Israeli prisons,” he said.

Israel did not hold back in publicly rejecting the Court’s ruling. The bombing, killing, and destruction intensified immediately after the session ended. The Israeli government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, swiftly denounced the Court’s decision and attacked it, citing religious statements that denigrate non-Jews. Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir responded, “Our future does not depend on what the gentiles say, but rather on what we Jews do.”
According to Israeli Channel 12, Netanyahu stated that “occupying Rafah and increasing military pressure on Hamas” is the proper response to the Court’s decision, which he called “antisemitic”.
The victims of the Israeli army’s bombing are still lying in the streets and under the debris of destroyed homes, particularly in the eastern and central parts of the city, as rescue workers and medical teams are unable to remove them from those areas, according to the Euro-Med Monitor field team.
In addition to the hundreds of housing units destroyed since the beginning of the most recent attack on Rafah, during which entire neighbourhoods were destroyed and reduced to rubble, the Euro-Med Monitor team had also previously received information about the destruction of approximately 170 housing units.

‘Al-Qassam Soldiers’ Boots’ – Resistance Roundup – Day 234

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, released a new video naming officers and soldiers from the Israel 401st Iron Tracks Armored Brigade who were killed in Gaza.
The video highlighted the names and photos of the top officers of the unit, while in the background the full list of names and photos scrolled in horizontal order.
The video is more than mere war propaganda, as it indicated that Al-Qassam fighters were not simply shooting at random Israeli military men, but are fully aware of their size, numbers and even very identities.
This raises questions about Israeli claims that it has already eradicated much of Hamas’, and other Palestinian Resistance groups’ military and intelligence capabilities.
Below are the latest statements by the two main Resistance forces in Gaza, and the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah.

MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a video linkup with large families from various Russian regions and bestow state awards in the Kremlin on Thursday.
Families, where parents have been decorated with the Order of Parental Glory, or where mothers received the honorary title of Mother Heroine, will be invited to a conversation with the Russian president. The title of Mother Heroine, first introduced in the Soviet Union, was revived by a presidential decree in August 2022. It is awarded to mothers who gave birth or raised ten or more children.
The event will be held in the run-up to the International Day for Protection of Children.
