Canada Backs WHO’s Push for Global ‘Climate Lockdown’ Powers

Canada has thrown its full support behind the World Health Organization’s (WHO) power grab that seeks to gain control over sovereign nations under its new “Global Pandemic Treaty.”
Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government is now lobbying other nations to also back changes to the WHO’s treaty to expand the definition of a pandemic to include “climate change.”
If approved, the move would grant the WHO sweeping global powers to override the laws of individual nations to enforce “climate lockdowns,” travel limits, bans on private car ownership and use, and restrictions on meat and dairy consumption.
The lobbying efforts of Trudeau’s cabinet were exposed by Conservative MP Leslyn Lewis.
On Monday, Lewis posted a message on social media showing a portion of a response from the Trudeau Liberals to her inquiry about their activities and input with the WHO.
“As countries prepare to finalize the WHO Global Pandemic Accord in May, the Liberals have been lobbying the WHO to include climate change in the definition of a pandemic emergency,” she stated on X.
The feds responded to Lewis, indicating that “the new instrument should be inclusive and defined by an all-hazards approach in alignment with the [International Health Regulations].”
The response continues: “There are other global health threats that are currently building and/or could result in a global health emergency (e.g., climate change impacts) … which may be scoped out of an instrument with too narrow a focus.”
In other words, the feds acknowledged that they are in support of broadening the scope of the pandemic treaty to such that it directs countries not just on infectious disease outbreaks, but also on health impacts from climate change.
An October 2023 order paper response by the Trudeau Government to Lewis shows a similar message.

Last night at dinner with Dr. McCullough, he asked me to do some research on the dread “Disease X” about which we’ve been hearing a lot of chatter since it was announced that the Davos crowd will be talking about it at their annual WEF meeting this January.
I agree that it’s always a terribly ominous sign when the WEF talks about saving humanity from a hypothetical threat. When those guys start chatting about saving us from an “unknown” pathogen, it’s a safe bet that bio-labs are already tinkering around with a “candidate pathogen.”
The stated objective of their work is to develop vaccines against the candidate pathogen should it (God forbid) evolve to infect humanity.

On January 11, 2024, Forbes published a report titled What Is ‘Disease X’? Right-Wing Circles Slam Hypothetical Pandemic. Though the entire report struck me as bizarre, of particular note is the following, which the author characterizes as a “Key Fact.” I have highlighted in bold the most nutty elements of this “key fact.”

Disease X, a hypothetical unknown threat, is the name used among scientists to encourage the development of countermeasures, including vaccines and tests, to deploy in the case of a future outbreak—the WHO convened a group of over 300 scientists in November 2022 to study the “unknown pathogen that could cause a serious international epidemic,” positing a mortality rate 20 times that of Covid-19.”
It seems to me that this inaugurates a new epoch of scaremongering. As our Founding Father, James Madison, remarked on a number of occasions, rulers have always invoked threats to public safety in order to extend their power. Reviewing history going back to Roman times, such threats have included:
-Foreign invaders.
-Pirates raiding shipping and coastal settlements.
-Slave revolts.
-Domestic conspirators plotting to overthrow the government.
-Bandits.
-Famine
-Dangerous religious cults.
-The wrath of God.
-Evil spirits, witches, and ghosts.
-Curses upon the land from unknown malevolent actors.
-Wild animals such as wolves and bears.
-Plague.
In the West, fear of the plague is at least as old as the Plague of Athens in 430 BC. After plague struck Venice in the 14th Century, the Republic inaugurated what became the standard procedure of the Quarantine, whereby vessels coming in from foreign places thought to be infected with plague were required to spent 40 days anchored off Lazzaretto Island before their crews were allowed to enter the city to offload their cargo.
The word “quarantine” derives from the Italian word for the number forty—that is, “quaranta.”
In reviewing the above threats, consider that even supernatural beings such as witches and ghosts were “known” in the folkloric sense of being given names and backstories.

Now, in the year 2024, we are being regaled in the press and at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos with stories of Disease X—”an unknown, hypothetical threat.”
Although the threat is unknown and hypothetical, the WHO has convened 300 scientists to study it and develop countermeasures against it. Finally, though this hypothetical pathogen remains unknown, “it could cause a serious international pandemic with a mortality rate 20 times that of COVID-19.”
At this point, any sane person may be asking the following:
1). If a pathogen is hypothetical and unknown, how can it be the subject of a public health warning?
2). How can an unknown thing be studied, and how can scientists develop countermeasures against it?
3). Without knowing what the pathogen is, how can one posit that it has a mortality rate 20 times that of COVID-19?
The only thing I can think of in all of literature that resembles Disease X is the Erlkönig (Erlking)—a ballad written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe about a supernatural spirit (Elf King) that appears to boy as he riding horseback with his father across the countryside at night, trying to get home to their farmhouse. Only the child can see the Erlking, who is coming to get him and take him away.
The father is confident the boy is just seeing things, and reassure him that it’s just the wind rustling in the willows or a sliver of fog. At the climactic moment of the poem, the boy cries:
My father, my father, he’s touching me now!
The Erl-King has done me harm!
The horrified father rides swiftly rides on,
He holds the moaning child in his arms,
Reaches the farm with great difficulty;
