The Left Wants to Transform and Nationalize Our Election System

As Jarrett Stepman wrote in 2019, when H.R. 1 was first proposed, these reforms would be a significant threat to the federalist system under the Constitution of the United States and would undermine election integrity.
H.R. 1 is even more significantly threatening in the aftermath of 2020 election, where electoral flaws made many Americans question the integrity of the system. H.R. 1 makes it likely that all future elections will have that outcome. Here is Stepman’s original article:
Democrats intend to save “democracy” by putting themselves in charge of elections.
As absurd as that sounds, it really is a part of the inappropriately named “For the People Act of 2019,” or H.R. 1, moving through the House of Representatives.

The Conservative Action Project also provided this quick rundown of the bill:
• Forces states to implement mandatory voter registration, removing civic participation as a voluntary choice, and increasing chances for error.

• Forces states to extend periods of early voting, which has shown to have no effect on turnout.
• Mandates same-day voter registration, which encourages voter fraud.
• Limits the ability of states to cooperate to see who is registered in multiple states at the same time.
• Prohibits election observers from cooperating with election officials to file formal challenges to suspicious voter registrations.
• Criminalizes protected political speech by making it a crime to ‘discourage’ someone from voting.
• Bars states from making their own laws about voting by mail.
• Prohibits chief election officials in each state from participating in federal election campaigns.
• Mandates free mailing of absentee ballots.
• Mandates that states adopt new redistricting commissions.

The bill is more or less a grab bag of progressive priorities, much like the Green New Deal.
Like the misguided movement to abolish the Electoral College, H.R. 1, in the name of democracy, takes a blow torch to the concepts federalism and self-government enshrined in our Constitution.
As the above summary makes clear, H.R. 1 has numerous provisions that would undermine free speech rights, upend the way America conducts elections, encourage voter fraud, and turn election oversight into little more than a partisan weapon to bludgeon foes.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who seems to have positioned herself at the forefront of every piece of radical legislation coming out of the House, dismissed the idea that H.R. 1 is a “power grab” by Democrats.

She had to make an almost immediate correction after that tweet, as the legislation has not yet passed the House. Even if it did, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has said it wouldn’t pass in the Senate, where Republicans hold a majority. [Sic. That was as of 2019. Not now, they don’t-Kj]
Ocasio-Cortez has a penchant for missteps, but she’s a good barometer for where the progressive base in America is.
In this bill, the left has shown it is willing to make a “naked attempt to change the rules of American politics to benefit one party,” as McConnell noted. But beyond that, H.R. 1 is most concerning for the devastating effect it would have on our federal republic.
National Review’s David French summed it up perfectly:
“At its essence, the bill federalizes control over elections to an unprecedented scale, expands government power over political speech, mandates increased disclosures of private citizens’ personal information (down to name and address), places conditions on citizen contact with legislators that inhibits citizens’ freedom of expression, and then places enforcement of most of these measures in the hands of a revamped Federal Election Commission that is far more responsive to presidential influence.”
Certainly, the effort to get around the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision through a constitutional amendment to get money out of politics is misguided and an assault on free speech.
It is at odds with our right to free speech and, in the end, would mostly benefit insiders and incumbents who know how to play the Washington game of navigating arcane campaign finance laws.
Further, it would require donors to disclose their own private information in the name of “transparency.”
This is how democracy descends into mob rule. It’s why the Founders erected barriers to guard against a tyrannical majority.
Given the way progressives brazenly attack and shame dissenters on college campuses—and increasingly in public life—it is all the more urgent that individual privacy rights be protected. Privacy is a cornerstone of liberty.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect of H.R. 1 is what it would do to American election laws and how it would not just undermine, but bulldoze any semblance of federalism left in our political system.
H.R. 1 would stop state legislatures from drawing up their own congressional districts and would mandate independent commissions in their place.
As I’ve written in the past, getting rid of legislative redistricting, sometimes known as “gerrymandering,” is a “cure” worse than the disease.
Redistricting will always be partisan, no matter who does it. Laws to prevent this would simply drive partisan redistricting underground, where it would be done in secret by an unelected, uncountable commission rather than openly by a legislature.
Again, even if this were good policy, it assumes that the federal government has the right to dictate how states run their elections. It would take away the right of the citizens of a state to make their own choices on these issues.
H.R. 1 contains other violations of federalism—and the Constitution—including mandates to restore voting rights to felons as soon as they are released from prison and stop states from finding and removing ineligible voters.
And it gets worse.
After nationalizing American election laws, H.R. 1 would put them all under the watchful eye of a “revamped” Federal Election Commission. This is perhaps the most brazenly partisan element of the bill.
The Federal Election Commission currently allows six members (though it currently only has four), with a requirement that four members sign on to any decision in order for it to pass.
It has an even number of Republican and Democratic appointees—thus, it takes both parties to agree to prosecute a violation of federal law. This prevents the party in control of the White House from enforcing the law in a partisan fashion.
H.R. 1 would change that by making the commission a five-person body comprised of the president’s appointees, with the president’s party able to appoint three of the five. This would make the commission into a partisan body beholden to the president.
Proponents say this would end the current “deadlock,” but in reality it would turn the commission into a partisan tool to be used by the president. It would be an egregious concentration of power, especially given the way the rest of the bill would nationalize American elections.
While the Framers weren’t unanimous about how much power states should have relative to the federal government, none would have thought it a good idea to give near-tyrannical power to an unelected body of five people, which is what H.R. 1 would essentially do.
The “For the People Act” really is little more than a progressive power grab intended to manipulate election rules to favor liberals, and it is an anti-democratic bill that would upend America’s electoral system.
As with the Green New Deal, it is a vehicle for introducing ideas that would fundamentally transform our republic into something we would not recognize at all.

Texas State Representative Kyle Biedermann introduced a bill on Tuesday that would allow Texans to vote on seceding from the United States.
House Bill 1359, otherwise known as the Texas Independence Referendum Act, would let residents vote on if the Texas Legislature should create a joint interim committee to create a plan for independence for the state.

1) Elect a clown, expect a circus. I want to laugh and puke at the same time whenever Biden speaks. (With Obama, it was the mute button bringing relief)
2) The United States is now “Zionized.” Expect God’s judgment to come raining down on us.
3) Once the Democrat Party and RINO’s unite, they will become the Reprobate Party. That’s not going to leave too many Republicans for the GOP. If the Democrats weren’t so good with manipulating elections, they would be a third party. I expect Independents to grow with the re-registration process going on now.
4) Rather than secession, it might work if red counties were to unite forming new states extricating themselves from any blue or purple counties in their current state boundaries. Texas has an amendment in their constitution allowing the state to split into five separate states.
Four of those states would be conservative, GOP dominant states leaving one offshoot as a blue state. Not a bad ratio.
If Kalifornia were to split into five separate states, two would likely be blue leaving three as red states. Not the best ratio, but beneficial. New York could merely make a state out of the Albany-NYC corridor alleviating the rest of the state of its oppressiveness. That’s what I would do.
I heard earlier today that Trump changed his mind about starting a patriot party.
I don’t know but I feel something is really not right.
I now think the magic Christian number 110 is coming to rid the earth of the satantic number 666.
But expulsions have been tried over and over again and have never worked. So what is the final solution?
How can a Christian “turn the other cheek” belief system co-habit the earth with a satanic “revenge” based system?
That is the puzzle.
Preliminary strategy is now shaping up for a hostile takeover of the Republican Party by Trump’s America First wing through supporting mid-term challengers to establishment Republican Never-Trumpers, first winning primaries, and then winning elections.
A third party would make that impossible.
Voter fraud and election integrity will be the litmus test for candidates.

Yes breaking up into separate states is an idea – but there are two fatal flaws embedded:
There are only two groups in this, and they successfully muddied the waters so those two groups couldn’t solidify the connection they established…..in the Ron Paul Movement.
It was the Establishment of all parties against those of us who want to lead normal, free lives.
Force vs Choice.
Then Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin co-opted Ron Paul’s Tea party and steered it into a wall.
They splintered the group and Occupy arose and quickly imploded.
And the two groups haven’t met back up since – they deployed internet shills to distract and divide the two away from each other more and more.
Dividing into states I think not for these reasons:
1. The communist socialists on the left and fascist authoritarians on the right don’t want to go their own way. They want total control. 5G speeds for their surveillance-control grid. Both sides.
The only people who would vote to separate would be the ones who value freedom and a stable, moral (or at least voluntary) society/culture above all else that values fairness, diversity, “equity” etc. The other side has a long military history of destroying not current competitors but future ones.
Ghadaffi wanted to unite Africa starting with their own currency and satellite – dead. With Hillary laughing over his body. Authoritarians won’t vote for less authority. They can’t be involved.
2. How does anything change on the federal level? Still printing money to its destruction? Blowing up children in other countries who pose no existential threat? Engaging in coups to install corrupt villains who at least take our money and follow the script? None of that ends.
Does the Green New Deal go into effect in these states? Nothing substantial changes. It’s like the Titanic is sinking and you want to move to a different room from those other ones, but you’re still headed for the abyss.
However–
Is total secession really plausible or smart?
We invade other countries who don’t have nukes and start to get a good amount of growth, kind of how they got rid of Jordan Peterson as his following grew too large just prior to this whole “think about everyone else before yourself” – his primary teaching: Truth and individual responsibility.
He explicitly and regularly called collectivism out for its central role as the foundation of totalitarian societies.
Of course listen to his newest interview with Douglas Murray and read the comment section: they got to him. He’s 180 degrees.
So would outright secession just make that society fair game for drone strikes to these psychos?
The debate needs to be had and I would love to see Lew Rockwell and Brother Nathanael vs two people of my choosing for the other side whom I think would make the discussion profitable intellectually, and maybe monetarily. Who knows.

As I see it, the only way this can turn around now is with a military coup over the broadcasting stations (Jew propaganda centers – media). The military is the only organized force that can do it.
Once the broadcasting stations are taken over, many or most of the government bodies that have been traitors would be forced into compliance. That would happen quickly and smoothly.
Let’s face it, there’s many traitors in the system from cops to politicians that don’t like being traitors. Once they see that someone more righteous has taken over, they’ll slide in behind that new power quite quickly.
The same would happen with most of the large corporations. Walmart, Verizon, and the like aren’t in the business of serving Jewish political correctness, they’re likely just terrified of the “power out there” that Woodrow Wilson spoke of in his memoirs, identified in Henry Ford’s 1921 article “The International Jew”.

We appear to be at the beginning of a massive crackdown on people who have supported Donald Trump, led by big tech and big media. These entities are making Trump into an example of their power to frighten the half of America that supported him in November. We cannot allow them to intimidate us.
But they sure are trying, and on some, they will succeed. They are using the excuse of an unrepresentative group of fools criminally ransacking U.S. Capitol offices with a lighter touch than many of this summer’s often unpunished Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters.
Remember: Some of those rioters got away with murder, attacking public buildings including in state capitols, arson, and stopping ambulances from bringing wounded police into hospitals for treatment. They were bailed out with the help of the incoming Democrat vice president.
Now we are being told that an unorganized group of stupid people knocking down doors and throwing Nancy Pelosi’s desk papers on the floor are “seditionists” aiming for the “overthrow of the U.S. government”? Please. That’s giving them credit that they don’t at all deserve.
But they have provided a useful pretext for much darker strategic actions from much better-funded and better-coordinated powers.
On the assumption with an excellent track record that Republicans have lost all power and wouldn’t intelligently use any power they have anyway, Twitter has banned Trump permanently and suspended Mike Flynn. Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat also banned Trump.
Google and Apple banned the Twitter alternative Parler from their app stores, claiming it’s because right-wing agitators have used it to organize, although the same is true of left-wing agitators, mass-murdering foreign dictators, and apolitical criminals on Twitter. Amazon defenestrated Parler from its servers Sunday.
‘You’re not entitled your book contract,’ can quickly become ‘United doesn’t have to let you onto its planes’ ‘Marriott doesn’t have to let you stay at its hotels,’ or ‘Visa doesn’t have to let you use its cards.’

On Jan. 8, Facebook shut down the Walkaway campaign that shared the stories of people who left the Democratic Party to vote for Trump, and banned every one of the group’s owners from using Facebook. Texas Lawmaker’s Proposal Would Let State Residents Vote on Secession

A lawmaker in Texas this week introduced a measure that would allow state residents to discuss, debate, and vote on independence from the United States.
State Rep. Kyle Biedermann, a Republican, filed House Bill 1359, also known as the Texas Independence Referendum Act.
Voters would choose in a referendum on Nov. 2, 2021, whether the state should leave the United States and “establish an independent republic,” the act states (pdf).
If voters say yes, a committee would be formed to study the matter and make recommendations regarding the best way to break away from the rest of the country, including advice on how to amend the state Constitution to accommodate the proposed nation and recommendations for issues that would have to be negotiated with the U.S. government such as a common travel agreement.
“This Act simply Lets Texans Vote. This decision is too big to be monopolized solely by the power brokers in our Capitol. We need to let Texans’ voices be heard!” Biedermann said in a statement.
“Voters of all political persuasions in Texas can agree on one thing, Washington D.C. is and has been broken. Our federal government continuously fails our working families, seniors, taxpayers, veterans, and small business owners.
“For decades, the promises of America and our individual liberties have been eroding. It is now time that the People of Texas are allowed the right to decide their own future. This is not a left or right political issue. Let Texans Vote!”
The lawmaker said the state Constitution allows Texas to remove itself from the United States.
Specifically, Article 1, Section 2 states: “All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit.
“The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform, or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.”

A Domestic Terrorism Law? War on Dissent Will Proceed Full Speed Ahead

President Joe Biden has already made it clear that legislation that will be used to combat what he refers to as “domestic terrorism” will be a top priority.
That means that his inaugural speech pledge to be the president for “all Americans” appears to apply except for those who don’t agree with him.
Former Barack Obama CIA Chief John Brennan, who is clearly in the loop on developments, puts it this way in a tweet where he describes how the new Administration’s spooks “are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about [the] insurgency” [that includes] “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”
The United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights, which includes freedom of speech and association, has been under siege for some time now. Government has always used its assumed powers conferred by a claimed state of emergency to deprive citizens of their rights.
During the American Civil War Abraham Lincoln imprisoned critics of the conflict. Woodrow Wilson’s First World War administration brought in the Espionage Act, which has since been used to convict whistleblowers without having to present the level of evidence that would be required in a normal civil trial.
During the Second World War, Franklin D. Roosevelt erected concentration camps that imprisoned Japanese Americans whose only crime consisted of being Japanese.
But perhaps the greatest attack on the Bill of Rights is more recent, the Patriot and Military Commissions Acts that were passed into law as a consequence of the “Global War on Terror” launched by President George W. Bush in the wake of 9/11.
Together with the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which includes a court designed to speed up the warrant approval process, ordinary citizens found themselves on the receiving end of surveillance for which there was little or no justification in terms of probable cause.
The FISA process was even notoriously abused in the national security apparatus attempt to derail the campaign of Donald Trump.
The tools are in place for ever more government mischief and no one should doubt that the Democrats are just as capable of ignoring constitutional safeguards as the Republicans have been.
What makes the current state of war against “terrorism” so dangerous is that the national security apparatus has been politicized while the government has learned that labeling someone or some entity terrorist or even a “material supporter of terrorism” is infinitely elastic.
That is precisely why Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has frequently called out opponents and attached to them the terrorist label, since it then permits other steps that might otherwise be challenged.
And there is also the fact that the playing field has changed since the First and Second World Wars. The government has technical capabilities that were never dreamed of in most of the twentieth century.
Edward Snowden and other whistleblowers have demonstrated how the government routinely ignores constitutional limits on its ability to interfere in the lives of ordinary citizens.
Not only that, it can monitor the lives of millions of Americans simultaneously, giving the police and intelligence agencies the power to mount “fishing expeditions” that literally invade the phones, computers and conversations of people who have not been guilty of any crime.
The authorizations that already exist will be further weaponized to go after dissidents as identified by the new regime. A bill introduced by House intelligence committee chair Adam Schiff “would take existing War on Terror legislation and simply amend it to say we can now do that within the U.S.”
It would be combined with previous legislation, including former president Barack Obama’s infamous 2012 National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the military to indefinitely detain American citizens suspected of terrorism without a trial.
Obama and Brennan also assumed an illegal and unconstitutional right to act as judge, jury and executioner-by-drone of American citizens overseas. Given those precedents, a bill like Schiff’s would free the national security community’s hands even more.
The new body of legislation would mean increased secret legal surveillance, suppression of free speech, indefinite incarceration without charges, torture, and perhaps even assassination.
If it sounds like totalitarianism it should. There ought to be particular concern that the plan of the Biden Administration to go after so-called domestic terrorists will be this generation’s version of either Pearl Harbor or 9/11.
The incident that took place at the Capitol Building on January 6th (already being referred to as 1/6 in some circles) has been exaggerated beyond all recognition and is now being regularly referred to as an “insurrection,” which it was not, by both politicians and the mainstream media.
The language used to vilify what are alleged to be “right wing” and “white supremacist” enemies of the state is astonishing and the technology is keeping pace to turn the United States and other countries into police states to ensure that citizens will do the bidding of government.
To cite only one example of how technology can drive the process, Biden has several times threatened to initiate and enforce something like a nationwide lockdown to defeat the coronavirus.
Can he do it? Yes, the tools are already in place. Facial recognition technology is highly developed and deployable in the numerous surveillance cameras that are being installed.
Wrist bands are being developed overseas that are designed to compel compliance with government dictates on pandemic measures enforcement. If you have been told to stay home and are instead walking the dog your wrist band will tell the police and they will find and arrest you.
And, as the old saying goes, the Revolution is already beginning to devour its own children. Universities and schools are insisting that teachers actively support both publicly and privately the new “equity and diversity” order while police departments are purging themselves of officers suspected of being associated with conservative groups, meaning that something like a loyalty test might soon become common.
Recently the Defense Department has begun intensive monitoring of the social media of military personnel to identify dissenters, as is already done in some large companies with their employees.
The new Director of National Intelligence hardliner Avril Haines has already confirmed that her agency will participate in a public threat assessment of QAnon, which she has described as America’s Greatest Threat.
Haines has also suggested that intelligence agencies will “look at connections between folks in the U.S. and externally and foreign” while Biden on his first full day in office has pledged to thoroughly investigate claims about Russian hacking of U.S. infrastructure and government sites, the poisoning of Putin critic Alexei Navalny, and the story that Russia offered the Taliban bounties to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
It could be Russiagate all over again, with a claimed foreign threat being used to conceal civil rights violations being committed by the federal government at home.
And, of course, the new policies will reflect the biases of the new rulers. Right wing “terror” will be targeted even though the list of actual right-wing driven outrages is embarrassingly short.
Groups like Black Lives Matter will be untouchable in spite of their major role in last year’s rioting, arson, looting and violence that caused $2 billion damage and killed as many as thirty because they are in all but name part of the Democratic Party.
Antifa, which rioted in Portland last week, will also get a pass – the media routinely describes leftist violence as “mainly peaceful” and only sometimes concedes that some “property damage” occurred.
It is Trump supporters and conservatives in general who are being shown the exit door, to include calls for “deprogramming them”.
The Washington Post’s Zionist harpy Jennifer Rubin recently declared that “We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them because if there are survivors, if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again.”
She also echoed calls for making them unemployable, “I think it’s absolutely abhorrent that any institution of higher learning, any news organization, or any entertainment organization that has a news outlet would hire these people.”
As the notably clueless Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in 2006 while Lebanon was getting bombed and shelled by Israel, “We are seeing the birth pangs of a new Middle East…” so too are we Americans seeing something new and strange emerging from the ruins of Trumpdom.
It will not be pretty and after it is over Americans will enjoy a lot fewer liberties, that is for sure.

Gems of journalism such as “‘Wives of the Deplorables’ Discuss Life with Husbands Who Support Trump” (“What’s the a-hole-in-chief saying today?”), and “The Very Real Pain of Having Trump Supporters as Parents” (“…if my parents supported a racist, misogynistic human as president of the United States, I must have some of that within me too”).
Not to be outdone in the scramble to the unfathomable depths of dementia, Time magazine recently published a full-length feature titled “It Makes Me Sick With Grief: Trump’s Presidency Divided Families. What Happens to Them Now?” (“Soren… is mystified as to why [his Trump-loving parents] couldn’t see the same homophobic and racist behavior and instincts that he saw”). You get the idea.
Sifting through this hate-filled collection of ‘Trump-supporters-are-vile-humans’ exposés, I stumbled on a piece of commentary with the promising title, “I’m A First-Generation Indian American Woman. I Married Into A Family Of Trump Supporters.”
At last, I fantasized, an upbeat story about that 75-million-strong political demographic known as ‘Trump supporters’ that has never, as far as I know, got a single drop of non-toxic ink by the leftist media. Naturally, I was to be disappointed, and beyond my wildest dreams.
In fact, this story far outpaced the pack for propagating the most vicious stereotypes about conservatives I have read since at least last week. In one of the cute anecdotes, the reader is treated to a fly-on-the-wall view of a Christmas scene where a member of her husband’s family received a football jersey with the name ‘Kaepernick’ on the back.
“They laughed with derision as they passed the jersey around and heckled the Black football player who had dared to peacefully protest police brutality and racism,” Shrestha Singh wrote.
What the writer failed to mention, however, is that Kaepernick, the pro football player turned activist, began the gesture of ‘taking a knee’ during the singing of the National Anthem before football games as a means of protesting police brutality.
While most Americans would eagerly support a campaign to end police abuse and racism, many believe disrespecting the American flag was not the best way to get the job done.
That Americans from all creeds and colors disagreed with Mr. Kaepernick’s campaign was evident, with football ticket sales taking a major hit as his ill-conceived campaign dragged on. The lesson that the media would not admit is that a person needn’t be a racist to find disfavor with Mr. Kaepernick.
But here is where I almost fell out of my chair. After discussing the reaction of the Trump voters to a black player’s football jersey, Singh segued violently into a scene straight out of the film ‘Mississippi Burning’.
Here, the author went on to describe a grisly photograph from 1930 that had been presented during one of her creative writing college classes, which showed, “two young Black men, their clothes torn, their bodies bloodied and broken, hung by their necks from a tree. The faces in the crowd are luminescent in the night.”
Do you see the connection? Don’t feel bad, neither did I.
Although Singh admits several paragraphs later that “tossing a jersey around was not the same as a lynching,” that did not prevent her from making that regrettable connection anyway.
Like so many other writers before her, she made a conscious decision to project a heinous crime from the past onto the present in an effort to effectively accuse innocent Trump supporters – even her own erstwhile family – of being cold-blooded racists.
That is an attribute the overwhelming majority of people find repulsive and unforgivable – indeed, as it is.
Having read this piece, and so many others like it, I understand that my country is being led by the leash to a very dangerous place.
And I say “led” because many Americans are now being deceived into believing that theirs is a nation rampant with racists and xenophobes – to the point where, in the current political climate, it is now acceptable to speak about even the possibility of future lynchings.
Of course, people are entitled to their views, as set down by the First Amendment, but that is precisely the problem.
Only those individuals who tout the anti-Trump mythology that says his supporters are racist white supremacists are awarded a platform – both in traditional media and on social media. All others need not apply.
Yet if we are going to outright condemn 75 million-plus Americans as xenophobes it would behoove our media overlords and political leaders to at least allow some open debate on the issue. Yet the establishment has already decided on the matter for us, thank you very much.

In a déjà vu mirroring of the legislative fall-out from 9/11, and the ensuing build-up of the security state, there is a growing demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be damned.
If this is a test of Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he seems ready.
As part of his inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.”
Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security in carrying out a “comprehensive threat assessment” of domestic terrorism.
And then to keep the parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip the government with “the tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become radicalized to violence.
Don’t blink or you’ll miss the sleight of hand.
This is the tricky part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by ruffians in your midst.
It follows the same pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at the expense of our freedoms.
As investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald warns:
“The last two weeks have ushered in a wave of new domestic police powers and rhetoric in the name of fighting ‘terrorism’ that are carbon copies of many of the worst excesses of the first War on Terror that began nearly twenty years ago.
“This New War on Terror—one that is domestic in name from the start and carries the explicit purpose of fighting ‘extremists’ and ‘domestic terrorists’ among American citizens on U.S. soil—presents the whole slew of historically familiar dangers when governments, exploiting media-generated fear and dangers, arm themselves with the power to control information, debate, opinion, activism and protests.”
Greenwald is referring to the USA Patriot Act, passed almost 20 years ago, which paved the way for the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse.
Free speech, the right to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense, accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press, sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government: all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced since Sept. 11, 2001.
Some members of Congress get it.
In a letter opposing expansion of national security powers, a handful congressional representatives urged their colleagues not to repeat the mistakes of the past:
“While many may find comfort in increased national security powers in the wake of this attack, we must emphasize that we have been here before and we have seen where that road leads.
“Our history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American people…
“To expand the government’s national security powers once again at the expense of the human and civil rights of the American people would only serve to further undermine our democracy, not protect it.”
Cue the Emergency State, the government’s Machiavellian version of crisis management that justifies all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.
This is the power grab hiding in plain sight, obscured by the political machinations of the self-righteous elite. This is how the government continues to exploit crises and use them as opportunities for power grabs under the guise of national security.
Indeed, this is exactly how the government added red flag gun laws, precrime surveillance, fusion centers, threat assessments, mental health assessments, involuntary confinement to its arsenal of weaponized powers.
The objective is not to make America safe again. That has never been the government’s aim.

Who Are the True ‘Domestic Terrorists’?

The truth: The vast majority of criminals who rob, rape, shoot and kill Americans in the tens of thousands each year, and the people who did almost all of the rioting, looting, arson and assaults on cops in 2020, never wore MAGA hats.
“Never allow a good crisis (to) go to waste. It’s an opportunity to do the things you once thought were impossible.”
Thus did chief of staff Rahm Emanuel advise Barack Obama on the financial crisis he inherited in 2009.
Following the Capitol riot by a mob of pro-Donald Trump protesters, the left took Rahm’s counsel, seizing upon and exploiting the episode ever since to paint the right as America’s safe harbor for “domestic terrorism.”
According to leftist columnists and commentators, going back to the ’60s, the real threat of domestic terrorism has always come from the right.
That is not, however, how some of us remember those days.
The most destructive acts of violence in the ’60s were the urban race riots that began in Harlem in July 1964, when 15-year-old black youth James Powell was shot by a police lieutenant.
In 1965, Watts blew up, followed by Newark and Detroit in 1967.
In 1968, 100 U.S. cities exploded in racial violence after Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis on April 4.
Anti-war riots followed the urban riots, beginning with an attack on the Pentagon in October 1967 and the occupation of Columbia University in 1968. That August, leftists ignited a riot at the Democratic Convention that nominated Hubert Humphrey in Chicago.
After President Richard Nixon took office in 1969, a mass anti-war protest in Washington, D.C., spun off a mob that trashed the Department of Justice.
A riot at Kent State in May 1970 precipitated the killing of four students by the Ohio National Guard, and follow-on riots on scores of campuses that shut down higher education for the rest of that spring semester.
That same year, terrorists in a Greenwich Village townhouse blew themselves up with a 2,000-pound bomb they were making to massacre noncommissioned officers and their wives and girlfriends at a dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
This was followed two months later by an explosion that blew up the mathematics building at the University of Wisconsin, killing a father of three.
As Nixon speechwriter Ray Price recorded in his memoir, between Jan. 1, 1969, and April 15, 1970, “More than 40,000 bombings, attempted bombings and bomb threats, were recorded in the United States.
“In the 1969-1970 school year there were 1782 demonstrations, 7561 arrests, 8 people killed, and 462 injured, (299 of those injured were police). There were 247 cases of campus arson and 282 attacks on ROTC facilities.”
The criminals responsible for this carnage were leftists.
What about 2020, the year of mass protests that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May.
According to the London Daily Mail, with the riots, arson and looting that began in Minneapolis spreading to Portland, Seattle and 140 other cities, the National Guard was called out in 21 states, six people died, scores of police were injured and between $1 billion and $2 billion in property was damaged or destroyed.
According to insurance company figures, it was the costliest urban violence since the LA riot of 1992, when a Simi Valley jury acquitted the four cops involved in the beating of Rodney King.
Other forms of “domestic terrorism” are far more common but all too frequently ignored because we Americans have come to take them for granted.
As Heather Mac Donald wrote in The Wall Street Journal just days ago:
“The year 2020 likely saw the largest percentage increase in homicides in American history. Murder was up nearly 37% in a sample of 57 large and medium-sized cities. Based on preliminary estimates, at least 2,000 more Americans, most of them black, were killed in 2020 than in 2019.
“Dozens of children, overwhelmingly black, were killed in drive-by shootings. They were slain in their beds, living rooms and strollers. They were struck down at barbecues, in their yards, in malls, in their parents’ cars, and at birthday parties. Fifty-five children were killed in Chicago in 2020, 17 in St. Louis, and 11 in Philadelphia.”
While the riot was taking place at the Capitol, where a cop and four protesters lost their lives, less-noted lethal events were happening all over America in the first days of the new year. Writes Mac Donald:
“The anarchy of 2020 has continued into 2021. Shootings in South Los Angeles rose 742% in the first two weeks of the year. In Oakland, homicides were up 500% and shootings up 126% through Jan. 17. In New York, murders were up 42% and shooting victims up 15% through Jan. 17.”

Anyone who persists in believing that the United States is not Israel’s poodle should pay attention to the comedy that is playing out right now.
Joe Biden was [proclaimed] president for less than a week when the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu government announced that he would soon be receiving a possibly unwelcome visitor in the form of the Israeli foreign intelligence service Mossad’s chief Yossi Cohen, who will be flying to Washington in February to explain the correct policy when dealing with Iran.
And lest there be any confusion on the issue, the Israel Defense Force chief of staff Lieutenant General Aviv Kochavi also announced that any Biden attempt to mend fences with the Islamic Republic will have to meet certain conditions or Israel will exercise other options.
He said “In light of this fundamental analysis, I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare a number of operational plans, in addition to those already in place. It will be up to the political leadership, of course, to decide on implementation but these plans need to be on the table.”
Another government minister clarified that the options would include “an attack” on Iran, though there has been no indication whether or not Israel would possibly contemplate deploying its tactical nuclear weapons to prevent retaliation by Iranian forces.
There is no limit to Israeli hubris. A leading Rabbi in Israel is predicting that as the United States is in decline it is up to the Jewish state to take over the role of “guiding civilization forward.”
And that kind of thinking shapes how Israel treats the United States with condescension, acting as if it is the knowledgeable elder statesman whose guidance must be respected.
In this case the Zionist solution to the Iran problem will by design be unpalatable for the government in Tehran if it intends to remain sovereign. For Israel the correct policy for dealing with Iran is to effectively disarm it and make it impossible to establish any sphere of influence in the countries adjacent to it, to include Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.
That would be to concede Israeli dominance over the entire region and if the Iranians do not play ball the next step would be to convince the United States to attack it on some pretext, possibly to include an Israeli “false flag” to start the process going.
The Times of Israel sums up the Israeli official position as “…Iran must halt the enriching of uranium; stop producing advanced centrifuges; cease supporting terror groups, foremost Lebanon’s Hezbollah; end its military presence in Iraq, Syria and Yemen; stop terror activity against Israeli targets overseas; and grant full access to the IAEA on all aspects of its nuclear program.”
Completing the disarming of Iran would also include requiring Tehran to abandon its ballistic missile program.
The irony is, of course, that it is Israel that has a secret nuclear arsenal that it created by stealing uranium and triggers from the United States and it is also the leading regional supporter of terrorist groups, to include al-Qaeda and ISIS. …

In a déjà vu mirroring of the legislative fall-out from 9/11, and the ensuing build-up of the security state, there is a growing demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be damned.
If this is a test of Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he seems ready.
As part of his inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.” Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security in carrying out a “comprehensive threat assessment” of domestic terrorism.
And then to keep the parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip the government with “the tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become radicalized to violence.
Don’t blink or you’ll miss the sleight of hand.
This is the tricky part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by ruffians in your midst.
It follows the same pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at the expense of our freedoms.

“Create The Hate” seems to be a liberahole Democrat prerequisite.
The FBI, CIA, and similar high profile government agencies are increasingly being used as left wing political weapons. Some media outlets have reported on it and the public has taken notice on occasion. People have lost trust in these government agencies.
Now, along comes the Biden Demonrat administration with their typical tactics like accusing conservatives, Republicans, Christians, and white people of being racists. But before they use the FBI against conservatives they need to clean up the tarnished FBI image, make the FBI look like the good guys, etc.
So how can the FBI be made to appear as heroes? One way would be to have the FBI appear to attack an enemy that is universally despised by practically everyone.
If the FBI appeared to have a few agents get shot or killed in a shootout with a ‘child pornography ringleader’ that might go a long way toward polishing the FBI image.

I’m still waiting for any of the alt right, or whoever content creators, to dedicate one entire show to calling out the military. As I said on this board years ago. Yesterday, being on YT, I ran across a really good reasonable show and the creator had the title of “Why everyone should join the military”
Ok. I got his point but the most replied comment was from a poster that just said, and I’m paraphrasing, “I served, 20 something years, blah blah”. Of course there were around 53 replies and a majority was the “Thank you for your service”.
I don’t like to comment on YT but couldn’t resist. I basically said, “I’m not thanking you for shit. What am I suppose to thank you for? Murdering innocent Syrian and Iraqi children? Our Freedom? You had a coupe right in your own backyard and did nothing. You should be embarrassed!”
The whole “thank our troops” for 20 years was a psyop in its own IMHO. Calling out unjustified pride can be a way of getting people off their ass and doing something. The ones that get paid to do it. Just a thought. You all do what you want with that.

You mentioned in an article about ten years ago about Biden that his mother was a big supporter of Israel.
In the American sponsored election of 2005 in Iraq, Biden was shown in a CNN article casting a vote. He did this as someone of Iraqi descent. He was shown in one picture holding up a purple stained finger as proof of having voted and in another holding up a book identified as his Iraqi grandfather’s Torah.
If that was Biden’s mother’s father, is Biden Jewish? It’s unlikely a Torah owning Iraqi would have a gentile wife. Or could that be the father of Biden’s Irish Catholic father? If any reader has some skill accessing the internet archive, please try to republish the CNN piece on Biden’s Iraqi vote.

AOC Wasn’t Even in the Capitol Building During Her ‘Near Death’ Experience

We’ve reported various aspects of the account of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) of what happened to her on Jan. 6 during the breach at the Capitol. But there are some very critical facts that have been missing from her story that I wanted to talk about here.
The story, as it was initially related by AOC, suggested that she was about to be assassinated by rioters in her office in a video that has been viewed over 6 million times.

“Ocasio-Cortez said that rioters actually entered her office, forcing her to take refuge inside her bathroom after her legislative director Geraldo Bonilla-Chavez told her to ‘hide, hide, run and hide.’
“‘And so I run back into my office,’ Ocasio-Cortez said. ‘I slam my door. There’s another kind of like back area to my office, and I open it, and there’s a closet and a bathroom. And I jump into my bathroom.'”
As it turns out, however, as my colleague Bonchie reported earlier, AOC said in her Instagram drama that the person who came to her office was a Capitol Police officer. But she denigrated the officer who came to help, claiming he “didn’t feel right” and that he was looking at her “in all of this anger and hostility.”
Her staffer reportedly wondered if he would have to fight the officer and suggested that he might put them in a “vulnerable situation.”

So, basically, this story is about hyping the danger to the members and trying to say people still have to fear those inconsiderate uncaring police (even when they’re coming to help you). She’s even been called out by folks on the left for the effort to demonize the officer and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), as my colleague Sister Toldjah observed.
But a few important things to note that seem to have been left out of this whole story.
AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol building where all the action was going down. If she was in her office, she was in the Cannon Building which is nearby, but a different building. But of course, many didn’t get the logistics and just assumed that she was in the Capitol building.
According to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who has an office in the same hall as AOC, two doors away, there were never any rioters in their hall so there was never any physical danger from rioters coming in at any point.

AOC’s building appears to have been briefly evacuated during the day as police checked on a nearby suspicious package that was later cleared.
So her “near-death experience” was an overreaction to a Capitol Police officer knocking on her door to direct her to another building, the Longworth Building, where she then stayed in the office of Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA).
Instead of thanking the officer, she paints him as somehow a possible danger of which to be afraid. The Capitol Police were likely trying to evacuate the building quickly, it’s possible the officer was focused on getting people out quickly so likely didn’t have time for all the niceties.

Take Cuba for example,a brilliant country, and it would have been if it wasn’t for the Americans enforcing the trade embargo and isolating it from the rest of the world so that later they could blame it all on communism.
