George Orwell couldn’t have said it better.
In a ‘Newspeak’ OpEd for the Wall Street Journal,
Gary Cohn and Herbie McMaster convolute Trump’s ‘America First’ into a effort to “strengthen relationships with allies and partners abroad.”
It’s like saying, “I love America so much I’m going to Tel Aviv.”
Might as well, since “our partners” are Israel and countries that further its agenda, like Saudi Arabia.
And “our allies” are NATO that wages wars for the Jews around the globe.
That’s why McMaster and Mattis are planning an ‘Arab NATO’ to further Israel’s hatred of Iran.
Which means more civilians getting killed.
Mattis doesn’t care. He’s not called the “Butcher of Fallujah” for nothing.

“Civilian casualties are a fact of life in this sort of situation. We do everything humanly possible consistent with military necessity, taking many chances to avoid civilian casualties at all costs.”]
Sure.
That’s why more civilians died in Mosul and Syria in the past four months than in any year under Obama.

What if your own family was blown to bits by a US bomb? Just another ‘fact of life?’
Mattis says it’s a ‘war on terror’ (thousands of miles away, mind you) to protect Americans at home.
But formerly a board member of General Dynamics, Mattis means protecting Jewish Wall Street’s stake in the arms industry to keep the war economy ramped up.
Mad Dog made a made a million while on the board.
That’s where Gary Cohn comes in, a Goldman Sachs boy as Trump’s economic adviser.
America doesn’t make anything anymore, just pizza, bombs, and messes in the Middle East.
Will sending arms to Saudi Arabia put America back to work?
Naah.
Instead, a massive influx of defense technology will sweep into Saudi Arabia as part of Trump’s deal, complete with on-the-job training.

I may be off topic here, Br. Nat, but today’s the 50th anniversary of the despicable, brutal Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, a reconnaissance ship stationed in International waters off the coast of Egypt. 34 sailors were killed and 174 more were injured in this dastardly attack.
One of the most despicable Presidents, Lyndon B. Johnson, occupied the White House during the “Six-Day War,” instigated by the Zionist Entity itself. America First certainly wasn’t on LBJ’s agenda, as he had ordered the recall of US jets heading toward the USS Liberty to drive off IDF jets and speedboats.
The only POTUS who ever stood up to Israel was John F. Kennedy, LBJ’s predecessor .. Thanks to LBJ, in some Jewish circles considered a “Righteous among the Goyim,” 50 years ago today marks the day that America became the United States of Israel. Starting with the colonization of the mind, we Americans have been colonized by the Zionist Occupation Government ever since.
I went to the USS Liberty Veterans Association and the White House webpages to see if “We will defend Israel 1000%” Trump, the tin soldier commander-in-chief and ardent militarist, acknowledged in some way that today is the 50th anniversary of Israel’s undeclared act of war on America. Skeptical, I was still hoping for a kind of word out of the Oval Office for the heroic survivors of the Liberty, the most decorated ship in US Navy history.
Nope.
And then I did a lot more searching casting way back many years to see if Trump had ever mentioned the USS Liberty in all of his faux-patriotic stumping and thumping.

American Conservative: Condemning the Tehran Attacks

The State Department spokesman issued a very short condemnation of the Tehran attacks:
The United States condemns the terrorist attacks in Tehran today. We express our condolences to the victims and their families, and send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Iran. The depravity of terrorism has no place in a peaceful, civilized world.
The statement is fine as far as it goes, but the message in it is absolutely the bare minimum one would expect in response to attacks that claimed at least a dozen lives.
It should not be difficult or controversial for top government officials to denounce these attacks in the strongest terms just as they would if they had been carried out against any other country.
Unfortunately, because the country in question in Iran our government has had almost nothing to say about the attacks. This is all the more regrettable because the group that claimed responsibility for the attack also happens to be an enemy of the U.S. and many other countries in the region.
Expressing sympathy with Iranian victims of ISIS should be no more difficult than expressing our sympathy with the group’s Iraqi, Syrian, and Western victims.
It should be easy to show solidarity with civilian victims of terrorism regardless of where they live.
Our leaders should make clear that we reject and abhor terrorist tactics no matter who uses them or which country comes under attack.
The Bloomberg editors made this point well:
Trump wasted no time condemning the spate of recent terrorist attacks in the U.K., and the same reaction is called for now. The murder of innocents is wrong, always and everywhere.

In other words, Trump fully embraced the US-Saudi-GCC-Israel supported CIA international Islamist mercenary army against Iran — “Too bad you got killed but because we determine your government to be “state sponsors of terrorism” you got what you deserved.
When did Iran ever commit an act of terror against the American people? Most Iranian citizens actually want good relations with America, and it’s this hope which re-elected President Rouhani.
But they are also nationalistic, and regardless of internal politics and divisions, will jealously guard their independence and national sovereignty after a long, miserable history of British and then US colonization and oppression through puppet governments.
When the 9/11 Trade Center Disaster occurred, there were Five Dancing Israelis jubilantly high-fiving each other and dancing around when the Towers went down who later stated on Israeli TV they were recording the attack.
Netanyahu said on the night of the disaster that the attack “was very good”:
Asked [the night of 9/11] what the attack meant for relations between the United States and Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister, replied, “It’s very good.”
Then he edited himself: “Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy.”
He predicted that the attack would “strengthen the bond between our two peoples, because we’ve experienced terror over so many decades, but the United States has now experienced a massive hemorrhaging of terror.”

It’s the first time Tehran has been struck by terrorist attacks, and were snarkily scolded by the White House “You deserved it”. Tehran vigorously protested the obnoxious White House statement, then went on the diplomatic offensive by stating openly that Saudi Arabia (and by extension, Trumpistan) was behind it.
And how did the Iranians react to America’s 9/11 disaster in 2001?
Did the Iranian people start marching in jubilation and shouting “Death to America?” No.
Did the leaders publicly make calculating speeches about how the 9/11 Disaster would be good for Iran? No.
Did they publicly taunt Americans with a “You deserve what you got?” No.
Instead, that night the Evil Iranians™ spontaneously came out by the thousands with lit candles everywhere.
Tragedy is tragedy, the Iranian people stood in with Americans and prayed and mourned for us and with us for our dead. I dimly recall that Iranian firefighters and civilian police sent their special fraternal condolences to the NY Fire and Police Department.
Despite Iran’s rocky relations with the US, both Iranian president Mohamed Khatami and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei condemned and denounced the attacks and the terrorists who carried out the attacks.
Huge crowds attended candlelit vigils in Iran, and 60,000 spectators observed a minute’s silence at Tehran’s soccer stadium.
On Tuesday, September 25th, in 2001, Iran’s fifth president, Mohammad Khatami meeting British Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, said: “Iran fully understands the feelings of the Americans about the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington on September 11.”
He said although the American administrations had been at best indifferent about terrorist operations in Iran (since 1979), the Iranians instead felt differently and had expressed their sympathetic feelings with bereaved Americans in the tragic incidents in the two cities. He also stated that “Nations should not be punished in place of terrorists.”
By 2001, the Iraq-Iran War which devasted Iran, decimating and disabling a whole generation of young males, had been over a mere 13 years and the horrors were still fresh and raw in living memory, an older generation suffering PTSD.
They understood terror, they’d experienced an aggressive and invasive war conducted by the highly equipped Iraqi army on land, air and sea against in inadequately armed Iran. Iranians died from chemical (mustard gas and nerve agents) and biological warfare provided to Saddam Hussein by Reagan’s Envoy — Donald Rumsfeld.
It was an epic war the Iranians fought – one of the longest and bloodiest of the 20th century.
The war was disastrous for both countries, stalling economic development and disrupting oil exports. It cost Iran an estimate of at least 1.5 million casualties, and $350 billion. About 2 million more were internally displaced.
According to Iran’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs’ statistics, there are 548,499 disabled veterans of the Iran-Iraq War living in Iran as of June 2014, a number which includes the victims of Iraq’s chemical weapon attacks on Iran.
Iraq also suffered casualties estimated at least 500,000, and was left with serious debts to its former Arab backers, including US$14 billion loaned by Kuwait, a debt which contributed to Saddam’s 1990 decision to invade.
“Death to America” is a political slogan which expresses a strong sentiment born of good reasons against the US government and it’s world destroying, culture poisoning, hegemonic policies will disappear from the pages of history, so to speak.
Iranians historically suffered much from British and then Anglo-American imperialism, occupations and misdeeds for over a century. Our Jewmerican imperial government is worthy of contempt, I hate it more than ever. It is devoid of any basic decency.
So I don’t grudge Iranians’ ritual of hostile chants directed at the Powers That Be. It is never directed at the American people, or they would say, “Death to Americans”. Iranians who have studied at universities in the US tend to like Americans.
As Ayatollah Khameini explained on his website in English a couple of years ago about the slogan:
“It goes without saying that the slogan does not mean death to the American nation; this slogan means death to the US’s policies, death to arrogance,” he said.
I recall reading, but may misremember, that the Iranians began chanting “Death to America” shortly after Iran Air Flight 655 (IR655) was shot down by a pair of US missiles on July 3, 1988 during the very hot Iraq-Iran War by USS Vincennes while flying the Bandar Abbas-Dubai route over the Persian Gulf.
The shootdown resulted in the loss of life of 290 innocent civilians from six nations including 66 children. There were 38 non-Iranians aboard.
The Flight 655 Disaster is an incredibly traumatic memory framed by a brutal and merciless war, indelibly etched on the national mind. The war is still a living memory for most Iranians. The senseless shoot-down of the civilian aircraft and subsequent US cover up was magnified against the very real backdrop of a vicious war being waged against Iran, started 8 years before by Hussein and his Iraqi war machine.
The US, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other Sunni Persian Gulf states backed Saddam Hussein in their proxy war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Flight 655 was an ordinary commercial flight operated by Iran Air that flew on a very routine and well known Tehran-Bandar Abbas-Dubai route on a well-established, 20 mile wide commercial flight path.
At 13,500 feet and climbing to 14,000 before descending to Dubai, the hapless Iranian Airbus A300 flew over a naval skirmish—one of many clashes in the ongoing “Tanker War” (another forgotten Iraq-Iran conflict sideshow going on in the Persian Gulf)—in the Strait of Hormuz, and was shot down on the orders of Captain Rogers of the USS Vincennse.
The Iranian government and passengers’ families seeking redress were met with US bellicosity, callousness, indifference and cover up from the White House and the Pentagon on down.
Mattis’ cold-from-the-frozen-pits of hell statement “Civilian casualties are a fact of life in this sort of situation. We do everything humanly possible consistent with military necessity, taking many chances to avoid civilian casualties at all costs,” could easily have come from his lips 29 years ago. It probably did. He was a Marine Corps officer then.
Not long after the shoot-down, Iran asked the United Nations Security Council to censure the United States for its criminal act against Iran Air Flight 655. They had to endure DC stonewalling for another 8 years.
Vice President George H.W. Bush, who was running to succeed Ronald Reagan as president, said on the campaign trail after the official Department of Navy report was published, “I will never apologize for the United States—I don’t care what the facts are.”
America blew up a passenger airplane, and tried to cover it up, and then blamed the Iranians for the disaster.
They had to endure DC stonewalling and obfuscations. Not until eight years later did the U.S. government compensate the victims’ families, and even then expressed only “deep regret,” not an apology.
In 1990, the Navy awarded special commendation medals for “meritorious service” to two of the top officers who were serving on the USS Vincennes at the time the cruiser shot down an Iranian airliner over the Persian Gulf with 290 people aboard.
The citations for the special commendations to former Vincennes skipper Capt. Will Rogers III and Lt. Cmdr. Scott E. Lustig, who was the ship’s weapons and combat systems officer, did not mention the downing of the Flight 655 on July 3, 1988. It was chalked off as a mere “error” in the fog of war.
Perhaps if the US government was to ever offer an official apology for the FL655 Disaster out of some kind of simple decency, the Iranians might stop chanting “Death to America”. But Jewmerica can’t apologize because “We’re the exceptional nation.”
Anyway, the government and the people of Iran condemned the 9/11 attack in the strongest, harshest, no uncertain terms. The Thousands of Iranians spontaneously turned out on the streets for prayers and candle-light vigils expressing their grief.
In an outpouring of sympathy with Americans, 9/11 candle ceremonies and prayers continued in public areas and mosques for a full week. Even a moment of silence was kept by 60,000 attending major soccer game during the week.
That week, the semi-obligatory public political ritual of turning out to chant “Death to America” after Friday prayers at the mosques was cancelled, too.

Electronic Intifada: Israel backs Saudi Arabia in Confrontation with Qatar

Israeli officials have gleefully endorsed the position of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in a growing confrontation with Qatar, the most public acknowledgment yet of the deepening alliance between certain Gulf states and Tel Aviv over their common enmity towards Iran.
Meanwhile, evidence has emerged of close cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and a key Israel lobby group to pressure Qatar over its support for the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas.
On Monday, Saudi Arabia and several of its satellite states, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, broke off diplomatic relations with Qatar and imposed a blockade, cutting land, sea and air links to the country.
Regional media reported that shelves in stores in Qatar, whose only land border is with Saudi Arabia, were quickly emptied as residents feared a prolonged closure could lead to food shortages.
Justifying its decision, Saudi Arabia has accused Doha of “grave violations” such as “adopting various terrorist and sectarian groups aimed at destabilizing the region,” including the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic State, also known as ISIS, and al-Qaida.
Israel’s “opportunity”
Israeli officials were quick to offer their support to Saudi Arabia.
“New line drawn in the Middle Eastern sand,” Michael Oren, Israel’s deputy minister for diplomacy, proclaimed on Twitter. “No longer Israel against Arabs but Israel and Arabs against Qatar-financed terror.”
Israeli defense minister Avigdor Lieberman declared that the crisis was an “opportunity for cooperation” between Israel and certain Gulf states.
“It is clear to everyone, even in the Arab countries, that the real danger to the entire region is terrorism,” Lieberman claimed.
He added that the Saudi-led bloc had cut ties with Qatar “not because of Israel, not because of the Jews, not because of Zionism,” but “rather from fears of terrorism.”
Chagai Tzuriel, a top official in Israel’s intelligence ministry, told The Times of Israel that Qatar was a “pain in the ass” to other “Sunni” Arab states allied with Israel.
Israel’s former defense minister Moshe Yaalon also expressed backing for the Saudi-led sectarian coalition.
“The Sunni Arab countries, apart from Qatar, are largely in the same boat with us since we all see a nuclear Iran as the number one threat against all of us,” he said at a ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of Israel’s military occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Syria’s Golan Heights.
On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia continued to escalate the situation, suspending the license of Qatar Airways and ordering its banks to sell the Qatari currency.
Who supports “terror”?
While Saudi Arabia offered no evidence for its charges against Qatar, the accusations are rich coming from a regime that has been one of the biggest sources of funding to so-called jihadi groups going back decades.
[Then there’s that little thing called 9/11 and the problem of Saudi collusion with now uncloseted best friend forever, the Zionist entity.
We should know by now that Emir Abu Ivanka, won’t do a thing about a proper investigation of the 2003 World Trade Center Disaster.]
But like Saudi Arabia, Qatar too has been accused of financing or allowing money to flow to ISIS and al-Qaida-affiliated groups in Syria.
Israel has also had no problem with al-Qaida linked groups, and even ISIS, in Syria, offering them various kinds of cooperation and material support.
So the source of Saudi ire must lie elsewhere. Qatar has for years, along with Saudi Arabia, been part of the counterrevolution to thwart or reverse the so-called Arab Spring uprisings.
Qatar was taking part in the Saudi-led war on Yemen, before being kicked out of the coalition this week.
The two-year bombing campaign in Yemen has killed thousands of civilians and brought the impoverished country to the brink of famine.
But Qatar has often found itself backing different horses: Doha supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, while Riyadh has backed the regime of Abdulfattah al-Sisi, the army chief who led the 2013 military coup that overthrew the elected Muslim Brotherhood president in Cairo.
These differences had soured relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia for years.
But Saudi Arabia may have been emboldened to act now, after US President Donald Trump gave full endorsement to strengthening a Saudi-led anti-Iran alliance during his visit to Riyadh last month.
Targeting Hamas and Iran
Qatar has continued to host the leaders of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas and has been under pressure to expel the group’s officials – Israeli media claims that Qatar did expel two officials are unconfirmed.
But the biggest difference appears to be that Qatar has not been willing to fully sign up to the Saudi-Israeli alliance against Iran.
A deal in April in which Qatar allegedly paid about $700 million in ransom to release members of its royal family abducted by an Iran-affiliated group in Iraq reportedly enraged officials in other Gulf states.
Qatar also reportedly paid about $300 million in ransom to several al-Qaida linked groups in Syria, according to The Financial Times.
Also in April, Qatar lifted a self-imposed ban on developing a major maritime natural gas field it shares with Iran, which would necessitate cooperation between the two countries, according to the Tel Aviv newspaper Haaretz.
Things came to a head around the time of Trump’s visit and his summit with regional leaders.
Qatar’s national news agency published comments attributed to the country’s leader Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, calling Iran “a regional and Islamic power that cannot be ignored” and asserting that “it is unwise to face up against it.”
Tamim also purportedly said his country’s relations with Israel were “good.” Qatar has flatly denied the statements are real, claiming that the news agency’s website and social media accounts were hacked.
Qatar has historically maintained relations with Israel, even welcoming its then foreign minister Tzipi Livni to Doha in 2008.
But the Qatar-based network Al Jazeera has cited the fake comments as a trigger for the crisis, accusing Saudi Arabia and its allies of using them as a pretext to move against Qatar.

Another factor is the close relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
Hacked emails published by The Intercept reveal coordination between the Emirates ambassador in Washington, Yousef Al-Otaiba, and the neoconservative pro-Israel think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
The emails reveal “a remarkable level of backchannel cooperation” between the Emirates and the think tank, which is funded by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, a close ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to The Intercept.
The email exchanges included complaints from the Israel lobby group about Qatar’s support for Hamas “terrorists.”
An agenda for a meeting between leaders of the Israel lobby group and Emirates ambassador al-Otaiba scheduled for this month includes such items as “Qatar support for radical Islamists” including Hamas, Qatar’s “destabilizing role in Egypt, Syria, Libya and the Gulf” and the role of the Qatar-backed Al Jazeera network.
It also includes ways to reduce the influence Qatar gains from hosting a major US air base.
One of the items on the agenda is “Political, economic, security sanctions.”
The agenda is evidence that the Foundation for Defense of Democracies – a key player in Israel’s anti-Palestinian propaganda – was gearing up to deliver in Washington the anti-Qatar message coming from Riyadh and the United Arab Emirates.
US role
The leaked documents reveal that the Saudi-led bloc is troubled by the influence Qatar gains by hosting the massive American al-Udeid air base.
But this is precisely why the US, the overall imperial power, has no interest in a squabble among states that it views as vassals.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson affirmed the importance of US ties with all the states involved and offered to mediate, urging the feuding rulers to “remain unified.”
The US military lauded Qatar for its “enduring commitment to regional security” and affirmed it had “no plans to change our posture in Qatar.”
Qatar has taken these messages as signs of strong US support, but as ever Trump was quick to throw everything into doubt.
“During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar – look!” Trump tweeted on Tuesday, appearing to directly endorse the Saudi-led campaign against Doha.
“So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off,” he added. “They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism and all reference was pointing to Qatar.”
“Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism,” the president asserted. More likely, Trump is pouring gasoline on an already burning region.
A long-term goal of Israel has long been to divide Arab powers against each other, to “let them bleed,” as the official Israeli doctrine on Syria goes.
Whatever happens next, Israel will continue to benefit from the chaos and divisions that only strengthen its hand.

Army’s Command: Arrival at Iraqi border is strategic turning point in war on terrorism
Damascus, SANA – The arrival of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies at the Iraqi border and their control of vast swathes of the Syrian Badia form a strategic turning point in the war on terrorism, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces said on Saturday.
“Units of the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with the allied forces, completed on Friday evening the first stage of the military operations in the Syrian Badia and were able to reach the border with the friendly Iraq northeast of al-Tanf,” the Command said in a statement.
The arrival at the border, the statement said, was achieved after controlling a large number of positions and strategic points inside the Badia over 20 square kilometers since operations first started south and east of Palmyra, where hundreds of ISIS terrorists were killed.
“This achievement is a strategic turning point in the war on terrorism and a springboard to expand military operations in the Badia and along the border with the friendly Iraq,” added the statement.
The new advance, the army’s Command said, also tightens the noose around the remaining ISIS groups in the region and cuts off supply routes of the terror organization in several directions.
The Command went on saying that this achievement by the army and its allies stresses their ability and determination to defeat terrorism and affirms that they are the “only effective force in fighting terrorism.”
The Command reiterated its warning of the dangers of the repeated attacks launched by the so-called “international coalition” and its attempts to hinder the advance of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies in their war on terrorism.
The Command concluded its statement by renewing its resolve to continue the war against ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and the terrorist groups linked to them until restoring security and stability to the entire Syrian territory.
