But he may be a sitting duck if the intra-party adversaries have their way.
They’re bent on Rubio, even Cruz will do…but ‘Trump the Outsider’ makes DC hacks very nervous.
That’s why Trump’s on the warpath to destroy both Rubio and Cruz anticipating an “Open Republican Convention.”

Name-calling can wound but falling short of delegates can kill you.

He needs 1237 pledged delegates to win the First Ballot at the Convention.
He’s three quarters away from that magic number. And there’s more primaries on the way.
Trump was the leader of Super Tuesday but was not the winner.
Cruz took Texas and got the delegates Trump needed to tighten his path to the nomination.
Even if Trump wins Florida and Ohio, he’ll still be short of the delegates he needs.
Looks like, come July, the Convention will decide.
Any delegates Trump brings with him could be pressured to vote against him on a Second Ballot.
If Adelson, Singer, and Braman are in the back room making deals, they could put Trump out to pasture.
Adding to the farce, Republican Jewish neocons like Kristol and Kagan have threatened to break ranks, join the Democrat war hawks, and back Clinton over Trump.

I didn’t vote in the last general election. I wouldn’t vote for Mitt Romney. When Trump came out–I was enthused and excited. So, when all this anti-Trump started in the Republican Party with the National Review–I was floored. Now, with Mitt Romney coming out and telling them all that Trump was not a Conservative—well.

Romney: Trump is likely GOP nominee, but contested convention is ‘realistic’
(CNN) Mitt Romney, who came out this week swinging at GOP front-runner Donald Trump, admitted Friday that Trump is the “likely” nominee — but also hinted strongly that a contested convention is “a realistic scenario” that Republicans need to consider.
But Romney dismissed the suggestion that he is positioning himself to enter the ring.
“That’s not going to happen,” he told CNN’s Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger. “What’s going to happen in a contested convention is that people who are running for president and who have delegates are going to be able to battle with one another.”
Even so, when pressed on whether he would allow himself to be nominated at an open convention, he sidestepped a complete answer.
“I’m not going to even go there,” Romney said. “I have no interest in talking about that.”
Despite his effort to bring Trump down, Romney said the billionaire has the best shot at the Republican nomination.
“He’s probably most likely to be the Republican nominee at this point. But, um, I think there’s a better choice out there,” Romney said.
A total of 1,237 delegates are required to win the Republican nomination.
Trump currently enjoys a comfortable lead in the race, but a strong showing from Ted Cruz on Super Tuesday, when he won his home state of Texas and two others, and with winner-take-all home-state contests for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich looming on March 15, there is still a narrow path for his rivals.
“I’d probably again encourage whoever is doing best in a particular state to get the support there,” he said of the other remaining candidates, “and do that state by state. And that would lead to an open convention, where you’d see the delegates selected make the final decision.”
Romney said he thought Jeb Bush would make more of an impact in the race.
“I thought Jeb Bush would do better than he — than he did,” he said. “I like Jeb a lot. I thought he would be able to gain a lot of momentum. But that didn’t happen.”
Romney took issue with Trump’s since-reversed proposal that as president he would have U.S. troops “go tougher than waterboarding.” Trump most recently made the comments at Thursday night’s Fox News debate.
“The troops then would be guilty of crimes,” Romney said. “And (Trump) would be guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.”
When asked about a CNN report that Trump will raise outside money if he becomes the Republican nominee, Romney said, “it’s a form of hypocrisy that I think people will find shocking.”
Romney thinks Trump’s rhetoric is worse now than in 2012
During his 2012 presidential bid, Romney sought and welcomed an endorsement from Trump — the same man he on Thursday repeatedly insulted and called a “phony” and a “fraud.”
On Friday morning, Romney said he believed the billionaire’s current rhetoric was more damaging than his past efforts to stoke the anti-Obama birther movement.
“I think (the birther activities were) very different than calling Mexicans rapists, than saying that Muslims are not going to be allowed into the country as immigrants, that mocking a disabled reporter” or “going after women and saying ‘Oh, she asked tough questions because she was in her menstrual cycle,” Romney told Borger.
Standing up to Trump for his grandkids
So why did the former Massachusetts governor, now effectively retired from politics, see fit to go public with his attacks on Trump?
“I don’t know what impact these things have politically,” Romney said, “but I do know that when my grandkids say, ‘What did you do to stop Donald Trump?,’ I want to be able to say something. I wasn’t going to just sit on the sidelines until the very end.”

According to latest research conducted by Russian state-owned agency VTSIOM the share of Russians who express willingness to vote for Putin in the nearest presidential polls is the largest in four years.
“Seventy-four percent of Russian citizens say that they are ready to vote for Vladimir Putin at the nearest presidential elections, due in the beginning of 2018. This is the maximum value in four years and an almost two-fold increase from 40 percent in October 2012,” reads the letter issued by VTSIOM on Thursday.
“Fifteen percent of responders said they had no plans to support the incumbent president and 11 percent said they cannot give an answer to this question,” the researchers added.

VTSIOM also noted in the letter that the support for Putin’s candidacy was very high even among those who thought that the president has not yet fulfilled all promises made at the last elections campaign. At the same time, 37 percent of responders hold that the Russian leader has already fulfilled the major part of these promises.
The share of those who think that Putin was true to only a part of his promises was 47 percent.
According to the poll conducted by VTSIOM in December last year 57 percent of Russians wanted to see Putin reelected as president in 2018. A further 11 percent said the incumbent president should be replaced by someone he himself proposes as his successor.
Eighteen percent said that they would prefer another person as president who would suggest a different political course, while 14 percent of responders said it was too difficult for them to answer the question at the moment.
In the same poll, 48 percent of Russians said that currently no politician in the country could effectively replace Putin, while 33 percent said that the replacement could be found once the need arises and 6 percent answered that they already know a perfect candidate. Twelve percent of respondents said they found the question too complex to answer.

Bubble Boy Rubio did horribly and will get blown away by Trump next week in Florida, and if Trump also wins in Ohio (right next to tonight’s winner Michigan), then it is over. Some of the primaries start becoming winner take all events, and Cruz will get wasted even if Trump does not win Ohio.
Trump stated something very ballsy tonight, after the results were pretty much in, by discussing the fact that the black witch Hillary will probably not be able to even run, without needing to elaborate.
Prior to that, he emphatically stated that beating her would be easy, which it should. As stated before, the primary voter turnout for the Republicans has increased by over 50% compared to 2012, and has decreased by over 35% for the Democrats.
If he can stay alive until next year, there is no full scale nuclear war, and the US economy does not completely implode, Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States. Life has become a comic book, and it is kind of cool. God is always entertaining.

Just to throw one more rock at the anti Trump window, let US consider what the Donald means when he says make the military strong again.
He does not mean sacrificing more troops and armaments to destabilize the world.
He is talking about the 1.5 trillion dollars wasted on the F35 turkey, the fact that special forces troops must use their own money to equip themselves while foreign mercenaries are air dropped weapons, and that returning troops with PTSD get no health care from the military industrial complex as they are considered used up fodder.
A really strong man is one nobody wishes to fight, which is why some of the most gentle people are potentially the most deadly.
Being strong militarily does not imply going to war all the bloody time, particularly against sovereign nations that are not a military threat.
Donald Trump knows this, as he is a successful businessman, so when he states that he wishes to make the US military bad ass, it does not preclude him from even pulling troops and bases in order to save money.
Russia follows Ron Paul’s strategy, and nobody questions how powerful their military is.

Politicians are always saying things they don’t mean and changing positions to get elected. Trump could do that with the military. If Trump were a true patriot, and admittedly he likely is not, he would nominate Ron Paul as his vice president, and really shake up the establishment.
